Hello all,

Harry here from the Daisu team. We hope you and your families are well and safe. These are tough and unprecedented times we're living, and it's affecting the whole community of players and the games industry. Entire cities around the world in lockdown, events being cancelled, health and economic systems in crisis, game launches being delayed. Everyone is being affected.

At Daisu, we bring the board games people love to digital platforms, allowing them to play more frequently and without boundaries, and allowing new gamers to know about these exciting titles. We care deeply about our fans and we know board game communities are being especially affected, as gatherings are not recommended or allowed. That is why, as a small token of our gratitude and to contribute the way we can to this terrible crisis, we are offering Between Two Castles Digital Edition for free during this weekend, March 26 to 30.

If you get the game during this period, you can keep it forever for free. Gather your friends but still be safe in your homes. We hope that fans of Between Two Castles and new players alike can enjoy it and use it to spend more time with their loved ones.

Thank you for the support you always show us, that humbles us quite a lot.
Be safe and use gaming to take more fun out of these troubled times.

Much love,
Harry and the Daisu team

A Mortician's Tale is free here https://laundrybear.itch.io/morticians-tale

A Mortician's Tale takes about 1 hour to play. It's a short, but deeply meaningful experience.

A Mortician's Tale is a story-driven death positive video game where you play as a mortician tasked with running a funeral home. Take on the role of recent funeral direction graduate Charlie as she learns the ropes of the business and industry. Prepare the bodies of the deceased (via embalming or cremation), attend their funerals and listen to their loved ones' stories, and interact with Charlie's coworkers, clients, and bosses.

A Mortician's Tale is an informative, honest, and sometimes humorous look at the current state of and the future of the western death industry.

Totally Reliable Delivery Service is free on Epic if you gab it this week.

 https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2020/04/01/goofy-physics-game-totally-reliable-delivery-service-arrives-today/?

Silly ragdoll game Totally Reliable Delivery Service is arriving on the (digital) doorstep of anyone who wants it today. It’s got the jello-like little humans similar to the goofs of Gang Beasts and Human Fall Flat. Turns out delivering packages efficiently is nigh impossible when you’re basically an invertebrate. For its first week in the wild, you can grab Totally Reliable Delivery Service free for keeps.

TinyBuild say that in the noodle-armed ragdoll sandbox you’ll “work together (or against each other) to deliver packages to customers using a variety of vehicles and odd machines. Safe deliveries are rewarded, but mayhem is highly encouraged!” You can spot a bunch of entirely impractical vehicles in the trailer like propeller planes, speedboats, and rockets? Is that a rocket? These little spaghetti folks need a delivery workers union, pronto.

Hmm, kids and I just played it and it's OK. It's more about messing around and having a laugh than anything else. The controls are incredibly annoying, which is part of the point I guess.

However, in playing for about 15 minutes, we had two game-stopping crashes, resulting in us losing all progress and having to force close the game.

Symmetry is currently free on GOG. There's a bit of going through screens but it does show up eventually.

Popped up straight away on GOG Galaxy, and a single click to own it.

It downloads and runs on the Mac too, despite saying Windows Only.

Pinball FX baby!

I have absolutely no idea which tables I own on which platforms any more. Will this further fracture my collection between the Steam and Xbox/Windows version, or go someway to equalising them? Not a clue, here goes!

Edit: actually, wonder if I listed them out at some point in the FX thread. I'll have to have a look.

Who cares, it's the best price! \o/

I don't seem to be able to claim the Pinball FX freebie. I think it's because I already own two of the three DLC packs it contains, and Steam doesn't know how to handle that fact.

They're all well worth playing. They haven't just thrown in any old tables into the freebie bundle, those are some of the very best ones.

They didn't register as downloaded DLC for me until I selected one of the tables in-game and chose the option to buy it. When the Steam overlay comes up you should see the "download care package" button below the usual sale price. Selecting the package outside the game just boots the game, which is a problem with a lot of games' DLC, it seems!

I got sent this for the Switch and pretty much how it was for me. Kids loved it, but on my own it was awful.
