Playstation Plus Apr 2020. Uncharted 4 & DIRT Rally 2.0

Uncharted 4 & Dirt Rally 2.0

https://www.vg247.com/2020/03/24/looks-like-uncharted-4-dirt-rally-2-0-might-ps-plus-games-april/

PlayStation Access published a video earlier today which mentioned April’s PS Plus games will be Uncharted 4 and Dirt Rally 2.0.

Apparently, someone pushed the publish button a bit early on the YouTube channel because the video is now listed as private. The video was originally put up as unlisted, according to resetera, which got the information off reddit.

Already got Uncharted 4 but I'm happy to get Dirt Rally 2. Even though the name always makes me think of the horriffically named porn website 'Dirtpipe Milkshake' *boak*

Dirt Rally is fucking great, but also fucking hard. Recommended

Are you playing with pad or wheel? My wheel is broken so I don't know whether to bother or not.

Cool, Dirt Rally is ace.

Uncharted 4 is utter shit. Technically impressive, yes, but after the umpteenth bridge has collapsed from under you, or when you’re, for the millionth time, asked to scale a wall with no fear of falling, despite it desperately trying to convince you there is immediate peril, you’ll be ready to throw it in the bin. The game is an absolute slog. The gameplay doesn’t advance one iota from the first minute of playing. It’s genuinely awful.

One of the biggest mysteries in life is how it reviewed so well.

TLDR: don’t bother downloading UC4.

Don’t forget the identical crates to move around no matter where you are in the world.

I'm certainly glad I live in a world where the Uncharted games are absolutely outstanding, especially the two on the PS4 and you now get one of them for free!

Excellent month and I don't own DiRT so that's a cool addition!

I absolutely adore Uncharted 4. One of my favourite games of all time. Incredible characters, environment, and just a really enjoyable story and experience overall.

It’s sort of like a comfort blanket. I’ve played it multiple times a few of which have been when I’ve been going through a bad patch and it’s really helped to be able to get lost in such an enjoyable game.

Takes me back to my childhood playing tomb raider too .

anyway Dirt 2.0 is also fantastic so it’s a bloody incredible month if you haven’t played either never mind both.

Uncharted 4 is good. The combat is near the top of the TPS space, with bigger combat sandboxes than during the PS3 era, it looks smashing and the main set-piece is insane. And this being a ND game, it nails dialogue, acting and character beats in ways few games do. It has pacing problems though, which hamper its replayability and it does repeat the crate moving way too much, so much so that The Lost Legacy makes fun of it. TLL is the better game in my opinion. Leaner, meaner and with much tighter design and pacing.

It's the_debaser. Contrarian is going to be contrary.

I thoroughly enjoyed U4, and for the princely sum of 0 quid if you have a PS+ sub, you too can find out for yourself.

I've been subscribed to PS+ for 2 and a half years and this has got to be the best month yet.

Nah, the best month's are when you get two good games you have not played before.

July 2019 for me was good with Detroit & Horizon Chase Turbo.

Looking forward to trying Dirt Rally but I expect quite a lot of gamers have already played Uncharted 4.

Obviously this doesn't account for second hand sales, but the figures for Uncharted 4 I can find put it at 16 million sold*. Lastest figures for active PSPlus membership ~ 37million, so it's likely that over half of subscribers haven't played it.

*I am assuming this figure includes digital downloads.

It also doesn't account for buying it used like i did.*

* haven't played it because of course.

Is Dirt Rally 2 VR compatible too?

No it's only the first one that is VR compatible unfortunately.

I’m fairly certain the gameplay in uncharted 4 advances from the first minute.

Mainly because I’m 100 minutes into cover shooter Uncharted four and at no point so far have I held a gun. I’m current watching yet another cut scene.

It's shocking how much 'walk forward and watch boring unskippable plot exposition' there is in the game. I gave up and sold it ages ago.

Now I can get it for free and pick up from a save file and hopefully just get gameplay from now on.
