Setting up some online games- usernames etc

Hi everyone, with this lockdown in full effect, and my regular games group seeming to only own a mishmash of android phones, old computers and pen and paper (although we did manage to play Food Chain Magnate and 7 wonders last weekend), I would like to play some fun async games online. I know we've got a 'board games gone digital' thread, but I thought this could be more for organising games and sharing usernames etc.

First, I've created a group on BoardGameArena here: https://boardgamearena.com/group?id=3796376

If anybody's interested I'd love to play Keyflower, Terra Mystica, Tzolkin, Lewis and Clark or Lords of Xidit on there.

For other game specific sites http://play.boardgamecore.net/main.jsp has Food Chain Magnate

www.mabiweb.com has Nations (although it is also unsecure, so use a one off password)

All of which I'd be happy to play, are free, and work well async.

I've also got the Through the Ages App, my username is marksp

and Agricola, my username is therearerules

I have other apps, but I'm not sure how well they'd work async.

And if those games above don't tickle your boat please suggest others, because I'd love to play pretty much anything at the moment.

I'm currently playing once or twice a week on TTS.  STEAM name is 'mattymoomoo' Steam friend code is 27998014

Euro's would be my preference. Not interested in tabletop miniature wargames or RPGs particularly.

OK, time for some games suggestions then:

I'd be happy to play Keyflower, Terra Mystica, Food Chain Magnate, Nations, Lords of Xidit. If even just one person wants to play those I'll set up a game and invite randoms to make up the numbers.

OK, I've set up a table here: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=72503515

it's restricted to rllmuk members for now. Here's a quick apris of how to play:

Quote

In Lords of Xidit you preprogamme actions to travel the land, recruit warriors and fight monsters. On your turn you choose a sequence of actions, then those actions are carried out (everyone does the first, then everyone does the second etc going clockwise from the start player). The actions are:

Travel down a coloured road. As it says, if you choose this you travel down the road matching the colour.

Action (green arrow). Here you do the action depending upon the space:

  • In a city full of warriors, you recruit the weakest warrior there (There are five different types of Unit of different strength. The weakest Units are the Peasant Militia , followed by Archers , Infantry , Clerics and lastly, the most powerful Units, Battle Mages). When a city has no more warriors it is removed and a new city is placed on the board.
  • If it's a monster you scarifice the warriors it says on it to defeat the monster (you must have all of them or nothing happens). You then receive a reward of your choice from those listed. Then a new monster is placed on the board. (for more about rewards see below).
  • If nothing is there then nothing happens.

Wait. If you choose this you do nothing that turn.

The rewards you get are either money, which is kept hidden, bard tokens, which are placed in an adjacent field and used to score area control, or build a wizards tower, which is also in an adjacent field, but just give points rather than area control (only one tower per field though). The middle section has secret area control. At the end of the game the lowest player in each of these categories is eliminated, so you need to do well in all of them to win.

After every 4 rounds a military census takes place, where whoever has the most of a type of warrior gets a reward. The better the warrior, the better the reward. After 12 rounds the game is over.

There are actual rules here: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/104981/lords-xidit-english-rules

but they're terribly written

Hey all. Can anyone recommend something relatively simple to pick up that could be played between 3 people?  Catching up with a few mates next week and thought it might be a nice idea to try something like this over video call.

Is BGA a worthwhile endeavour for a one off?

Saboteur is a nice quick game to learn on BGA.

Gold diggers want to get to the treasure and the saboteur wants to stop them
