I wonder what the thought process is on these shifties. It seems cinema is recovering, Spiderman and The Batman have done well. But I guess The Flash and to a lesser extent Aquaman are bigger properties for Warner than Shazam and the unknown black Adam? So perhaps they're banking on 2023 when the world is really fully back to normal for those 2?

Sharon Stone is joining Blue Beetle, as a villain. It's a new character named Victoria Kord, thought to be the wife of Ted Kord, who is the second Blue Beetle in comics.

 

Raoul Trujillo also joining as Carapax the Indestructible Man.

The character Blue Beetle pre-dates Ant-man by over 20 years, like an awful lot of Marvel’s early heroes, they weren’t very original at all.

Especially if you consider I’m talking about narrative elements of the recent films.

 

like how in the mcu it’s established that Hank Pym is an old guy who was ant-man, and Scott Lang becomes his replacement. And interacts with the Pym family

 

likewise this dcu film will establish that  Ted Kord is an old/dead guy who was the blue beetle, and Jaime Reyes becomes his replacement. And interacts with the Kord family.

I still want a flash movie though! I really liked them in the role, for the most part, and the Snyder cut made the flash piece better. Plus,

EDIT: This is a mention of a couple of other characters who are in the film. But I only found out about one of them a few days ago.
