Sounds like Inscryption is rated for the PS4 via the Australian classification board. Hopefully we'll see a drop for other formats, too.

Can't wait for the game to get dunked on in the GOTY 22 thread because of the 'stop voting for Hades, dickheads' clause!

It'll be interesting how they do some of the later game stuff on console.

Spoiler

Maybe they could get you to find your oldest achievement/trophy instead of the oldest file on your hard drive.

Spoiler

I wonder how they'll do the largest file, as well. Maybe they'll skim the game list from your hard drive and threaten to delete it? That's a big enough threat if you're somehow into card games and Warzone

I'd imagine Dan Mullins would have to make a new error message to show it's not deleting anything, though, as you can't look at the game files any more to find the error log :(

This seems to be out on Playstation now, so I have no idea if it's a good version but the game is so fresh and unusual and good - anyone who's not played it, I thoroughly recommend it

Grabbed it a few days ago on PS5 and am loving it so far

My son has been playing it, and has got way further than me. I keep sticking my AirPods in so I don't hear much and trying to avoid the visuals, though I had seen some from the trailer.

Children are annoying. They spoil loads of games for me, selfish freeloaders 🤣

So, I've played this ... Enough so far to say this is already in my top 3 games for the year.

This is absolutely incredible, if you've clicked on the thread, just get it. It's cheap enough at the moment.

That's all I'm going to say, and now I'm going to leave the thread until I've finished it... Look at the time, I've not had a game have that moment where I look at the clock and it's nearly 1am in YEARS.

Well this game took an unexpected turn!

Spoiler

Genuinely had no idea about what happens once you beat the third boss in the cabin . Fmv followed by 2d game ( what was in the disk)  and the four scribes are the cards you rescued in the cabin. What wonderful unexpected turn of events.

I've tried to get back into this so many times since hitting act 2, but it's ugly, annoying and tedious. I've played tens of CCGs and LCGs and I don't enjoy the cardgame here at all. Shorn of the amazing atmosphere of act 1 the game has nothing going for it beyond memey fourth wall breaking which was done better elsewhere. I think I'm just going to call it a day. But it's great they made Kaycee's mod, clearly they know that's the bit worth playing.

Never played a card video game and am trying to get into this for the second time now. I don't know what it is but it's just so difficult for me to get a grip on it. I've already died in the third battle again and struggle with putting the right cards on the deck and their effects once the battle starts.

Keep plugging away, the more you play the more stuff it gives you. One thing to bear in mind that its ok to take a bit of damage as long as it doesn't kill you. And if there's nothing for the opponent to block with you can just plop down something big like a wolf and end the round in victory with some big hits. The items you can get like scissors, bottled squirrel etc are really handy too, don't forget to use them if things are looking bad.

Onto Act 3, and having the same problem I have with all of Daniel Mullins' games, namely that the act of playing them is often actually really boring. And I always wonder on a meta level if I'm playing them correctly. Really bored of act 3 now- is there any way of resetting my deck or something?
