Down by Law

Again, SNK missing the mark completely

just make the mini AES , hdmi out with a clicky microswitched pad (or a usb to the AES controller port cable adapter included in the box x2)

they would clean up.

Its just money left on the table, just get M2 involved and pump out a decent mini console. Throw in an analogue RGB out alongside HDMI and I'd be in heaven. The stick would be the most expensive thing to make. Who has space for these monstrosities?

I'm modding a NEO GEO X stick atm and trying to sort out retroarch on my shield TV as a substitute but id love a plug and play solution

Someone must because they keep producing those Arcade1Ups and seems to be doing gangbusters in sales. It's why so many keep popping up. Maybe the best advice is to move into a bigger place?

It's a US company though? Problem with selling stuff like that here is they have to build, ship and sell them in stores hence the massive price increase. Whereas over there it's sourced in a state and shipped out with little hassle.

Haha yeah I know.

As to your other post, yeah, they basically seem non-viable to sellers over here. There's a guy on the UKVAC forum who's basically started bringing them over himself to sell in fairly small quantities.

Indeed.

But seeing as I bought a HORI RAP 4 and an extensive ACA Neo Geo collection after the massive disappointment that was the NEOGEO mini, I don't think I'll ever bother with anything retro SNK comes up with these days.

Well to be fair the arcade stick pro they released was apparently really good and fixed all of the emulation problems that people had with the NeoGeo mini, and this thing is being made by the same company so Id say theres a good chance of this actually being really decent.

My biggest gripe with these systems is that none of them offer ways to buy more games for them legally or have any new releases. Hopefully this thing will get hacked and people will be able to stick mame on there. Im tempted to get this provided it gets released in Japan and does cost an absolute fortune like the 1up arcade machines.
