Just got my first 100 combo with that flail thingy. Very satisfying.

The combat really does remind me of Onimusha only that much better due to the controls. Other than that its basically PoP with Ninja`s.

Which is no bad thing at all

So what's the combat like then? Is it smooth and satisfying? Can you beat off five guys at once? ( )

Can someone describe how the controls work? (i.e what do the triggers do, how are the analogue sticks used?

Basic controls (there function changes depending on context for combos)

Left stick move.

Right stick 1st person camera

X - Attack

Y - special

B - Projectile

A - Jump

Left trigger - block

Right trigger - centre camera

Did you know you can kill that poor little mouse at the start ?If you shoot it with an arrow it explodes into a fountain of blood.You can also shoot the birds out of the sky.

don't know what level it is, you fight other ninja type guys, and a big boss with nunchuks (and a couple of bats if you can be arsed slashing at them)

edit: duhhh, the big 'chapter 1' title probably should've given me a hint that it was the first level

Shame they didnt rip the entire OXM demo disk. I`d have liked to have seen Tenchu on Xbox.

..as for ninja gaiden. Have you looked at the techniques (moves list) for each weapon? There are bloody hundreds!

There's an option in the menu to change the screen mode but you can't change it in the demo.There must be a widescreen mode.

I thought the demo was ripped from a special edition Japanese OXB magazine, that featured only Ninja Gaiden? Maybe not...should have it by monday anyway.

I believe the online thing may be coop by the way, which would be super-uber-ace.

It doesnt look like a japanese magazine. There are lots of things on the menu. SUch as a hitman video. Everything except ninja gaiden and the menu have been removed tho.

Yeah they've already announced it. Itll be a challenge mode with an online scoreboard and it sounds a lot like those challenges that Sonic Adventure had

It's rather good isn't it?

Very similar to Prince of Persia. No bad thing of course.

I liked the combat better in this though; I was just button mashing but I seemed to be pulling off some fantastic moves. Great fun.

Come on guys, any more details for those of use without chipped Xboxes? I want to know all about this game.

What kind of enemies do you fight? The previews seem to show a disconcerting amount of demon-like creatures instead of human bad guys with nice soft heads.
