Harris gone from the Bluebirds. We had lost 6 on the spin (including the Cup game), but signed two new players last week.

 

I'm not sure anyone is going to be that bothered he has gone, but equally not that bothered who comes in at the moment given no-one can go and our season is probably done already.

 

New manager has one target for the rest of the year - ensure Swansea don't do the double over us so they've got a couple of months to get ready for that game.

He's not bad in the Premier League, there's a decent number of Villa fans who'd still have him in the team now as his end product is so good.   I think Conor's biggest problems are that he needs a bit more time on the ball than he gets afforded in the Premier League and he'll lose physical battles against big fuckoff defensive midfielders.  Maybe if he'd been around ten years ago before organised pressing became widespread then he'd have had a lot more joy.  However in a decent team in The Championship where he's going to see plenty of the ball and he's not going to be expected to win tackles then he's a cultured ball playing midfielder with a hell of a shot on him and dead ball delivery which is better than half the players at the top end of the Premier League.   Sometimes we'd look at him and wonder what the fuck he'd been up to for past month or so only to see he'd scored or assisted in every game.    I'm surprised he's still only got 24 caps for Ireland, but he spent five or six years in the bottom two divisions and didn't make his international debut until he'd signed for Villa.

12 Month Extension for Warnock at Middlesbrough. Big fan of his work. :D

 

We did some good work in Jan, hopefully once he gets another summer recruitment drive, we can push on next season.

 

I mean we arnt a million miles away at the moment but we just cant string a couple of results together to get close.

I’m glad he is doing well up there and very glad at your last minute equaliser yesterday!!!

 

We have 2 more games before we visit the Liberty. We have to lose a game before then as there is no way the Jacks won’t get the first either league double between the two sides if we go into that game 13 games unbeaten.

While owning our own stadium is vital for any kind of long term, I don't know yet of anyone who genuinely believes that stadium will ever exist. The most popular theory is holding out until Wasps sell up, apparently they're not in the best financial state

And our unbeaten run ends in the 94th minute by Watford and puts us 7 points out of the play-offs again.

 

Stoke away in the week then the Jacks next Saturday!!!

And our first goal direct from a free kick in just shy of five years. Fucking outrageous. Surely no other team is that shit at free kicks?

Poor performance at home against Stoke. Both teams could have won it, but despite 1 loss in 12 the draws are mounting up and we are falling behind the top 6.

 

We can’t lose under any circumstances on Saturday, but we also must win or our play off hopes could be pretty much done if other results go the wrong way tomorrow and Saturday.

After the results today, anything less than a win in Sheffield means season over for Cardiff (although I think the play-offs are gone anyway).

 

Be left with seeing if the Jacks can somehow throw away what looked like a nailed on play-off place this year in contrast to their last day heroics last year.

Woof. Just when I thought Norwich were choking! 

 

Hope Watford can keep the hold on 2nd but we have a mad run of fixtures. Norwich, Swansea and Brentford all still to play (luckily the latter two can't seem to buy a win at the moment) and a local derby against Luton in the last 6 games. Yikes.
