Saw this about a week ago. It's very well done. The Cylons (both robotic and otherwise) are brilliant. The action scenes are fresh as well.

The ending has a very nice surprise that should make the series (if it's made) very interesting.

They find earth, and use CGI to recreate Galactica 80?

Muffet wakes up and realizes it was all a dream. And he actually lives in a zoo. The emotion conveyed by those glass eyes is amazing.

The premise of the show will be how he and his slightly thick daggit pal try to escape and take over the world every night...but never succeed! With hilarious consequences.

Saw this when it was shown on Sci-Fi channel over the US. It's pretty good stuff, doesn't really have any of the charm or cheesiness of the original though. Music is crap too sadly. As people have said, nice ending and apparently there will be more.

Any news on it being shown on another (non-movies) channel?

Quite enjoyed it (haven't seen more than ten minutes of the originals)

I'm hoping it'll get even better tomorrow as a lot of today's part was just establishing what's going on.

I really enjoyed it. I'd read all the interweb blab about it and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

Some of the special effects were stunning (spoiler: the wide shot of Caprica with the bombs going off beneath the clouds was awesome - better than many film versions of similar scenes).

I liked the pseudo-handheld camerawork of the space battles and the nice steadicam shot at the beginning introducing the characters and the ships.

I found it much darker than the originals, both the characters and the storyline.

Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

That's a point - can anyone tell me what was going on right at the end - I got up to take a piss and came back to see that the plane the president and Apollo were on got blown up?? What did I miss?

You silly billy ( :D ), I don't think they're really dead (something to do with the pulse generator Apollo was messing with) although I'm happy to be proved wrong about this.

Very enjoyable last night, I certainly want one of the old-skool Vipers, such a cool paint job they have. Looking forward to tonight.

No. NO NO NO NO NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I'll admit something. I threw a right fucking wobbly when "Starbuck" (Isn't a Buck a young male???) was introduced. I came pretty fucking close to breaking into tears crying "why why WHHHHHHHHHYYYYY????"

Its fucking wrong.

1: She does not come accross has a seat of her pants pilot

2: She does not come accross has some womanising cowboy

3: She is NOT Star Fuking BUCK!

Apart from that, it was slightly better than average.

Never thought I'd get aroused looking at a cylon though...

I do Like the flight physics, the *almost* Silence of space and the bit where the Orchestra played the first few bars of the originals Theme tune....

I shall hold out my full consideration until after tonights episode.
