Immortals Fenyx Rising - Burp of the Wild

I did that same area last night. Fighting her a second time was a pain, but not as annoying as the realisation it was going to go to 4x.

Still not massively enjoying the game but too far in now to pack it in. Coming off the back of the twin epics of DQXI and Demons Souls, I guess this perhaps isn't quite the change of pace I probably needed.

Started this the other day and after about 8 hours play fell foul to the save game glitch which corrupts your saves. Lost about 2 hours worth of play which was bloody annoying!

I'm kind of enjoying it? But having a massive world like Breath Of The Wild and no little villages to break up the monotony of the fighting etc is a bit strange.

Finally completed this last night. Overall very enjoyable game (in small doses). Visuals were top notch, looked draw dropping on my series s in HDR on my CX oled. The vistas going of into the distance are truly draw dropping.

Had to turn down the difficulty to easy near the end though for the final 3 battles as difficulty ramped up out of no where.

Haven't played a ubisoft game in years and heard this was pretty light on content compared to other ubi titles like assassin's creed. For me the amount of icons scattered over the world was insane and would of got way to repetitive trying to achieve them all.

Think I clocked around 35 hours in the end, got my money's worth and well worth picking up if you see it going cheap.

I need to go back to this, I loved what I played. I think I have a lot more hours clocked than you and have only done two of the areas, but have been trying to do everything which is obviously not necessary, and probably spoils the game in a way.

The graphics and just amazing, the colours, wow! I bought the season pass as well as I liked it so much.

I recently started this after completing AC Valhalla (and its DLCs) and I find it to be fine. Combat seems a bit more rough than in Valhalla and even though it shares a lot of similarities with the later AC games it kinda feels like its own thing.

The only part of the game I'm not too fond of atm is the really long conversations that's just riddled with puns and jokes, it feels like I've entered open mic night at the local comedy club and I don't mean that in a good way.

Lol, yeah some of the dialogue and jokes are pretty bad. The B button on the pad soon becomes your friend to cure that 😁

Started playing this via Game Pass and am enjoying it so far. The design is gorgeous and the voice acting is excellent (no idea if the VAs are actually Greek or putting on an accent though). It is another Ubisoft collect-a-thon (TM Wahwah :P) for sure, but it is really nicely done plus it looks and feels so damn good. Playing on Hard because that's what I do, but I really should avoid taking on bears and larger enemies when I have bugger all in the way of upgrades.

Speaking of upgrade, I had a massive bout of option paralysis when deciding what to upgrade first with my Coins of Charon. Whilst it's nice that the game gives you a great deal of freedom of choice, I would have appreciated a little bit more gating of abilities (and being able to unlock additional Godly Powers too? Argh).

I also turned off the HUD compass at first but decided against that since I had to open the damn map every few moments because I would start off in one direction, get distracted by something and then have no idea where I was supposed to go. I am refusing to use Far Sight to add new quests/items/challenges to the map however and am attempting to discover things more organically, which is easy enough since you just stumble on loads of things just pissing about all over the place.

Is there a good way to avoid the charge that bears do? The attack tracks you so perhaps I just don't have the timing down yet.

Bears are currently the bane of my existence, and yet I keep on trying to kill them and dying repeatedly instead. :(

You can dodge more than once in a row, a couple of dodges should help you avoid bear attacks.

Also remember you can sneak up on things and stealth attack, this will do a lot of damage and one-shot weaker stuff

If you are at the stage you can use Coins of Charon then you can also craft potions so remember to use red ones to heal up and/or use a purple and a yellow to make the combat easier for a short time, 90 seconds iirc

So if the standard beasts weren't bad enough, I've progressed far enough to get coloured variations that have bigger health bars, do more damage and even have different attacks! For example, the blue Minotaur does a jumping ground pound instead of the normal charge attack and I have no idea what the purple one does as I saw one around the middle area and immediately ran in the opposite direction. Thank fuck the bears don't get different attacks - at least as far as the blue ones anyway - because that's just going too far.

Totally loving this at the moment, I've gotta say.

Love the puzzles (even though I don't really need the rewards I enjoy figuring them out), combat and traversal mechanics. Gliding about is so relaxing.

I can definitely see myself rinsing the entire map I'm enjoying it that much. My dream game in a lot of ways actually 🙂👍

Finished this earlier today - it was much better than I thought.  I find a lot of games have unsatisfactory combat but thought it was great fun in this.

So pleased it came on Game Pass - 30-odd hours of entertainment in about a week or so.  Top stuff.
