Are you never not a trolling c....

Can we not? Let's just take it on face value he's excited about buying this. I don't think it's going to be useful to shame posters one by one for posting their excitement over buying this. If only for the overhead on the mods time this weekend.

Ha!

I think completely missing Dizzog's obvious troll (in an attempt to bend over backwards to be fair and balanced) is probably a good sign I need to take a break from reading the Hogwarts threads for now.

To be fair to you, considering @Dusted's double negative, I'm not actually sure exactly what he's accusing Dizogg of.

Bless you @Unofficial Who but in this case I would just refer you to the fact that it’s @dizogg

There are other games that copy/borrow heavily from the Destiny approach too, with the annoyance of using a joypad as a mouse rather than, you know, you using the dpad (Avengers, I'm looking at you!)

Have they talked much about the multiplayer in this? Is it basically a Destiny in that respect too?

There is no multiplayer in the game.

Reviews up tomorrow. If the previews are anything to go by, expecting good scores.

I read it’s just solo, which is a shame.
It would be fun to team up and do quests.

I am expecting big scores for this, even if it is puddle deep.

I never realised how utterly obsessed Harry Potter fans were until I went to Universal Studios in Orlando. Whilst an absolute spectacle to behold and truly some of the best attractions/attraction theming I have ever seen, the absolute brand based thievery was repulsive. And the fans were buying it all! All ages in 40° temps dressed from tip to toe in all this overpriced polyester shite. We are talking upwards of $1000 for a family of three to have all the clothing items if not more. That did not include wands, fart beans and chocolate frogs either.

Progressive views or not, many many Potter fans will be buying this regardless and even if it is shite, it will be held highly.

Me personally? Orlando was impressive but would rather scrape the barnacles off a rusty boat with my teeth. Gameplay looks bang average (with some incredible art mind) regardless of my opinion on Rowling*.

*I think she is a disgrace (Previously obsessed HP partner also concurs)

How is it the character creator in this looks so good but it’s literally impossible to make a character that looks even vaguely human in Cyberpunk.

Eh?

If I can be bothered, I’ll boot my save up and take a screenshot of the freak I made. Outside of the set stuff, when I tried to tinker to make something that looked vaguely like me they just started looking Oblivion-esque.

Have you looked in the mirror lately, Harry?

I have a lot of progressive friends. There's a Harry Potter themed concert in town at the moment. Guess how much of my feed was full of excited posts and photos?

This game is going to sell millions. As someone else said here or elsewhere, most people aren't as terminally online as us so they don't know. Or they do know and it doesn't factor in.

I reckon in a week my facebook feed is going to be full of screenshots from the game.

I get the impression that most people in the wild aren't really aware of her views, or at least don't take them seriously. It's not like they're constantly reported on by mainstream news outlets.

I imagine some people vaguely remember the essay being reported on, and that Rowling had some "genuine concerns" but it wouldn't be at the front of their minds.

I was there too, and there were loads of adults dressed top-to-toe in full Hogwarts uniform. 39 degrees.

Other than the Daily Mail. And who in their right mind reads that?

I think the (text) reviews are going to be an interesting mix. If there’s one group more terminally online than videogame forumites, it’s videogame journalists.

I'm sure I've no idea what you're talking about
