Standard plug into a mini power brick, power brick then has a laptop charger kinda connector that goes underneath the back of the plastic charger unit

Picked up my Spidey, Sackboy and Demon's Souls from Smyth's after work.

 

They had a PS5 demo pod running and it looks so good.

 

Console boxes for both PS5s and Xbox Series which the girl on the door claimed were dummy boxes but, well, I'm not convinced.

 

Which begs the question - why couldn't Sony have launched the console today?

Are the stores likely to put them on sale at midnight on launch day or go for a more civilised 9:00am start for online orders? What have they done for other major launches recently?

 

I didn't want one when the pre-orders came out but now I'm kicking myself for not bothering.

Likely to be availability of delivery slots... launches like this need to be coordinated with delivery partners, having both Xbox and ps5 launch a few days apart would have impacted networks quite heavily and caused issues with delivery.

So The Game Collection dispatched my Miles Morales (PS5) game on Wednesday, hasn't turned up yet but just received the pre-order bonus code.

Glad these games didn't launch at the same time as the console for us, would be annoyed otherwise. Now its just, it will appear soon (I hope).

that pos was an empathy - totally understand the excitement of new console day and the pain when it doesn't happen. My launch day non-working 360 gave me that rollercoaster 15 years ago

I got Last of Us 2 from shopto and it didn't arrive until the monday.

They used to be cheap and quick. But recently not so great, plus haven't responded to my query (had to email as no phone contact and if you tweet they they just refer to to their customer service department via email) from yesterday morning either. Had a similar issue with a previous game and that never even turned up unfortunately.

Think I'll go back to using Simply Games.

My series X came from Amazon.  It was sent via Hermes, and was in Rugby at 11.30 the day before launch.

I'm in Dundee, so the Dunfermline warehouse is where things are usually dispatched from for me.

So, there is a chance your PS5 won't even get close to that warehouse...

 

 

 

In other news, add me to the list of folk with a confirmed Playstation Camera adapter, though, I have concern.

I'm fairly certain that once I move to a proper HDMI 2.1 TV, I'll have to unplug / replug VR each time I want to use it as the breakout box won't be HDMI 2.1 compatible, nor will the 2nd HDMI cable you need to use it...

I ordered Yakuza LAD on Xbone and they sent the PS4 version but that is the only problem I have had with them. I ordered Spiderman, Sackboy and Demon Souls the other day (Wesnesday) and they turned up this afternoon.

 

I'm in two minds whether to keep the PS4 version of the game as all other Yakuza games are on PS4 and it will get a PS5 update in March or get them to swap it over  for immediate next gen goodness.
