Challenge for this thread not to turn into a Gamer-Karen I’d Like To Speak To The Manager Jackathon where customer services operators are stupid idiot cunts or threaten delivery drivers with fights like in the Xbox one.
 

If I don’t get my PS5 on Thursday I will cry a little and then go do something else instead.

:lol: I had to resist the urge to call the posters in that thread Karens. There's one page where most of it is people on hold for or waiting in online chat for a manager. I was going to call it "The Karening". ;)

 

Of course, this thread my descend into the same farce. :)

Smyth's have just sent through the despatch details for my PS5 digital preorder, I'd not ordered from them before but believe they're sound and payment has gone through so I reckon I'm in good shape.

 

I also have a preorder for a full fat PS5 from Amazon which I was going to cancel but thought I'd offer it up here first. Barring any disaster with the Smyths order it can be picked up from West London once I've got it (should arrive on launch day according to Amazon). I don't want any mark up - forum regulars only please.

 

Edit: a forumite has it claimed now.

I saw a few people on Reddit opened their Digital editions to find disk models inside. 

 

If GAME don’t take payment by Wednesday evening, I might have to stay up late and try to get one from elsewhere. I can’t really moan at their CS, either, as I ordered about 2 weeks after their day one delivery guarantee cutoff.

Smyth's are great. They've been my go-to for gaming purchases for a while now.

It is a good thing the games came out a week earlier. My games were dispatched (via ebay boss deals and game collection) via Royal mail almost a week ago and still nothing. Thank fuck DPD is bringing the actual console.

I ordered a PS5 game directly from The Game Collection, but the same thing. No delivery and no response to my email query from last week (no way to call them and their Twitter account advises to to just email their company).

But not annoyed tbh as I wouldn't have a console to play it on yet anyway.

Tbh if they sent it via royal mail it is probably out of their hands. Our deliveries has been insanely slow from RM. Ordered a birthday card for my niece and her birthday was last monday. Ordered the card maybe first week of nov - still hasn't shown up!

my Boss Deals packages were delayed by Royal Mail too - they did arrive though, so definitely a legit seller just in case you were worried.

How did you pay? I did the same and my PayPal is still in a pending payment state.  As that puts a hold on the amount not sure how late they would process it, but I'm also now unconvinced I'm getting it launch day despite people saying their customer service saying that it checks stock before taking the order.

I've had games from Simply arrive next day with first class RM. Game Collection seem to be in Swansea so it might be the depot and chain from there causing problems. Wish I'd read this before I'd ordered Demon Souls from them to save a few pounds. Even the dispatch notice is saying Saturday as ETA, so they seem to have bumped up the estimates.
