I expect this will be the new norm... :D Although not sure how popular VR has been. PSVR units were fairly easy to source - not sure about when they were first released though bought one I had a couple of years after launch. It was cheap and plenty of content to play with.....

ah shit, there was that thing with the move controllers, when they relaunched them at £70 a pair with microUSB rather than miniUSB.

My brother in law is fairly high up in Very. Kinda just below director level. Asked him if he gets priority, he doesn't otherwise I'd be buy dozens of them. He does know exactly when they're getting stock in, though. However he also said they sold out their recent allocation of 12,000 in literally 15 seconds. So chances of getting one are as good as zero.

I havent had any alerts in ages from Stock Informer. What are you using for alerts?

Despite hating Twitter, I’m following a load of stock alert accounts that I found from following UK IGN Deals. I’ve got stock informer set up on Telegram too and that sent nothing.

It's not worth it.  The stock alert thing went off on my phone at about 3am. I keep my phone downstairs at night, so the only winners with argos are scalpers. I'd normally make a bee line for a retailer like them to get my tech gear, but when they continue to pull really dumb shit like this, I may just shop elsewhere in the next 12 months when you might be able to walk into a shop and actually buy one.

Well done all. I got it in my basket but it wouldn't let me checkout as it said there was none in stock with that seller, but it still showed as in stock when I refreshed the main page.

 

Just not to be I guess.

Was super lucky. I was out on my morning walk, just checked my phone and then had a notification pop up from stock informer ( i'd checked it earlier this morning so tab was still open in chrome ) Clicked it's link through to Amazon but kept getting errors adding it to basket, so tired the app and it worked first time. Confirmation email came instantly.

 

Was going to have a moan about Argos earlier, as I'd had a quick check at 1:20am when I got up for a pee.

Had an email from simply games about bundles and just went for one of those. Figured I can play the games through once (Cold War, Demons and WD Legion) and resell and make back a fair bit of the money. The extra controller I wanted anyway. At least the money isn’t going to a scalper.
 

Very happy to be off the stock alert disappointment treadmill!

Sounds like competition might be easing slightly. Really good to see so many people actually getting their hands on one now. If fucking CEX stopped offering over retail for them I bet a lot of scalpers would start thinking twice.

I managed to get one from Argos last night but totally argee it's stupid to drop at that time  now i just need to sit in empty office untill 5:30 mite go pick it up on my lunch
