Managed to get one, after a bit of confusion at checkout!

First of all, it wouldn't let me add the base console to basket. I refreshed and went back to the various bundles, and opted for Miles Morales +2 controllers, which it allowed. Then it got stuck halfway through checkout, on the delivery options page. The order was split in two shipments. one being the second extra controller. It wouldn't let me select options for both as choosing a delivery option for one would cancel the other, leaving the "continue to payment" button greyed out! Had to refresh again, return to basket and remove the extra controller before it all went through! Done now though, huge sigh of relief!

Where di you get it from? Im still in the game queue after about 5 hours. The wee walking man isnt even half way

Game - but I happened to refresh the page just before the stock alert even happened on the retro_alpha_wolf twitch, so I was pretty high in the queue already (about 20 mins) when it all went south. Not too high in the queue though, because some of the guys ahead of me reported being chucked to the back of the queue when they reached the front.

Nope, you're all getting nothing, both the options I picked are out of stock.

Derek has walked off screen and shot himself in the face. Sony can get fucked. Today I happened to be sat in front of a screen when the alert went off, I was about 60 seconds slow off the mark.

There are people in the twitch chat saying things like "I don't want or need one, I'm just queuing cos I like to keep an eye on these things".  I mean, what?

Lot of crazy people out there with fuck all else to do.

I'm probably in this camp. I'm not in the discord or twitch channels, but still have the notifications set up and like seeing if I can get one if I get an alert if I'm not doing anything else. Partially because I'm curious to see whether the situation is improving, partially for the joy of having copped, and partially because someone on here will probably be grateful for one at cost plus shipping.

Looks like someone has hacked a PS5 and using it for crypto mining. These things are hard enough to source anyway without crypto miners getting involved. Not sure how long it will be before the Series X and S will be hacked to use as crypto mining tools too.

Getting gaming hardware has never been so difficult. I expect it will he easier when retail bricks and mortar shops start opening up again at least they can't be grabbed by bots online.

I will be receiving my PS5 disc edition (along with extra controller and docking station) monday. Elgiganten which is the biggest electronics retailer here in Denmark got a few thousands and chose to make it a raffle among those who had signed up for the possibility to get one. So I got lucky and got sent a code to redeem the purchase. :)

That’s the way to do it, at the very least it generates good will for the store, and is a pretty fair solution. Here it just feels like all the retailers couldn’t care less about their potential and future customers.

Apparently this was fake.
