Is the Curries lottery definitely legit? Can't see any link to it from the main Curries site which is a bit of a warning flag. The info links they have on the lottery page do link back to Curries urls though.

 

Edit - never mind, a bunch of news websites have announced it, just google Curries PS5 lottery

At the risk of replying to comments that don’t really need replying to...

 

If I don’t stick my name in the hat then there’s a million to one chance that’ll help someone from our community. If I do and get picked then then that’s one person from our community that gets one that otherwise wouldn’t have. 
 

If no one from this community wants the one I get allocated then I’d just not buy it and it’ll go back into the general pool. I’m FAR too lazy to profiteer from it, even if I had no moral objections to that (which I do).

They dropped at about ten to 9 and were gone in about 2 seconds. Was just typing a post to keep an eye out when they went live and there was not point even posting in here about it.

Stock-drop at my house. If anyone wants my PS5 disc version you can have it for cost, £450, if you can pick up from Battersea. Sorry, not posting the monster.

 

I’ve used it for about an hour and it’s under guarantee with Amazon. Whines a bit, but that seems pretty standard.

 

Only open for those who’ve been trying and failing to get one for weeks in this thread. No re-sellers!  I could easily flog it for six-hundred quid on Ebay myself.

What worked for me with Amazon was using the app.

I was actually out of the house when I had a notification from stock informer. 

Tried clicking the link and using chrome game me errors, so I used the app and it worked instantly. I was already logged in, which would of helped as well.

I’ve managed to place an order through the Very App, it’s showing as processing but I’ve got no email confirmation yet. Been constantly refreshing and eventually managed to link to the app from a webpage. Console plus a year’s PSPlus was the only option available. Fingers crossed it sticks.

seems like it's the discord channels or not worth it.

Which ones, though? I tried Stock Informer and it's the one that gave me a seriously late alert.

 

Edit: Ah, there's two alerts. I missed an earlier one, somehow.

I’ve been following as many stock checking Twitter accounts as possible (and I generally despise Twitter). I can’t get the hang of discord and the stock informer telegram alerts have been way too late. I clicked on the link the moment the tweet came up and was in a queue straight away.

Depending on where you are in Cornwall, there is one in Plymouth at Marsh Mills, just off the A38.

Thanks, yeah, there's also one in Truro, which is a ten minute drive from me. But something in the wording of the scheme suggested that not all stores are participating, so if you do get lucky enough to bag a ps5, the store you have to pick it up from won't necessarily be the one closest to you. My comment was more a weary complaint that many national companies seem to think that since Bristol and Cornwall are both part of the westcountry, they're pretty much the same thing, when in reality they're quite far apart!
