I can understand to a degree where it's shit for the retailers, I just went to shopto to check their price on something unrelated and because of the PS5 which earns them fuck all I can't even see any other item.

Then they should take pre-orders in order and they wouldn't have to worry about their website crashing.  It's their own fault (and I include all the retailers in this).

The drops are more frequent, it's weekly across multiple retailers. The scalpers/crackheads must be getting a bit nervous, stock increases, demand falls in line with supply....

The discord I was following was saying that if you choose the Game bundles with the shitty T-shirts you queue quicker.

 

Not sure how true, but wouldn't be surprised as they probably cost pennies but can add 20 odd quid to a bundle.

CEX are only offering £500 now, and i've seen consoles on FB marketplace for £600. I suspect this will not be profitable soon and that will hopefully help things.

don't think you queue quicker, more a case they allocate a set number of units to each bundle so going for a bundle with crap rather than piling in for the standalone consoles improves your odds of getting one, as who wants a Gameware accessories bundle (I have one for PS5 which may go in the trading folder soon, some charging thing and a shit headset).

With Game you have to choose a bundle before the queue starts though. You can change once you are in, but I think there's some truth in queue times being quicker if you choose the ones with all the tat.

 

For example, I selected the cheapest bundle (with 1 month PS+ I think) this morning almost the second Game went live and queued for 1.5 hours. People were still joining after me according to the chat and getting shorter queue times.

I've managed to get two from Very in the last month (one for me, one for my nephew).  Both were bundles (first was extra controller & Spiderman, second was 12M PS+) but all things I'd get some use out of so not the end of the world.

 

Part of me wants to try and get another to resell to cover some costs of the extras, but I really don't think I can be bothered with ebaying it.  I unfollowed all the twitter stock things this morning to help me forget about it.

Same as my most recent one.  The first one was ordered on 18th Feb and said delivery by 11th March.  It arrived via Parcelforce on the 27th Feb.
