Mine still shows as being in transit to the destination country. As this was on the 5th December, I'm slightly concerned they may have glued it onto the shell of a tortoise that they then pointed in a vaguely westerly direction before releasing.

Yeah, same here, pretty sure our packages are in the same shipping crate.

Given COVID + Christmas I'm not too surprised things are taking their time - I fear the current fun at the border mayn't be helping either!

I hope it does arrive, you know, one day, but given how disrupted everything is I'm not about to kick off.

My Mega Everdrive Pro turned up this morning. Very handome with its translucent red cartridge, which seems to be a much better mould than my old Mega Everdrive V2/X7, where you could quite easily accidentally drop your MicroSD card into the gap between the cart slot and the casing. Looking forward to trying it out tonight.

Yeah, mine's not trackable from the point it leaves Ukraine, which I imagine goes for anyone whose package was coming that way, alas (RM recognises the code, it simply marks it as not trackable; it clearly switches to a generic service once it gets here).

In better news for anyone else who was in the 'got to Kiev on the 5th' shipment; the tracking for mine updated on the 27th to flag that it had arrived in its destination country, and lo, this morning it arrived. Hopefully everyone should have theirs shortly!

I got a christmas edition of mine, along with a clear case I'd fully intended to switch to (very fond of the late-90s skeleton computer hardware look, me), but I may actually not switch - the translucent red plus christmassy label are quite endearing. Though... I do notice that the everdrive is a tiny bit loose in its casing (it clunks back and forth if you tip the cart/you can wiggle it back and forth by its button - same thing you get with some of the more... 'well-loved' Mega Drive cartridges) - is that normal/alterable? It's hardly going to bother me when it's plugged in, but I'm just curious if it's something I should consider fixing.

Thanks, I was going off the (lack of) information in my confirmation e-mail. I like his carts but the site and the ordering process hasn't been great. (Not meaning the BF sale and COVID-related shipping times.)

I think it's just the same problem as Analogue, they're engineers and the business isn't big enough to hire anyone who actually knows what they're doing.

and Everdrives probably would never be that big, Analogue could be if they took the leap.

I had zero problems ordering directly from krikzz the last three times I bought an ever drive. I think the Black Friday sale just overwhelmed him.

Mine has apparently been in the U.K. since the 27th. Hopefully it'll be making its way  through my letterbox soon.

Yeah, it’s hard to defend the e-commerce experience of the Everdrive, each time I’ve ordered, there has been something to chase up.

He seems nice in PMs etc though.

Yeah, he's been very nice to deal with in the past. I got an N8 with an AV Famicom a few years ago and the previous owner had hacked up an old Famicom shell for it. I asked Krikzz about labels when I was buying a replacement shell and he threw in a handful of alternative labels for every Everdrive in the range at the time. It was a small gesture but I really appreciated the thought.

From a sales point of view, sure. But they seem to manage to get the FPGAs, high quality PCBs and cartridge casings no problem time and time again.

If you want an Everdrive, you can have one.

No that's certainly true, and from at least vaguely local distribution too.

Got mine all set up. Brought my modded gba into work today with the everdrive in it and the screen has developed lots of flickering horizontal lines across it. They showed up on boot up. I'm assuming the screen cable has come loose. The screen flickers with or without a cart inserted.

Ughhh, suspect I've got another customs fee. The tracking says:

Nothing on Royal Mail's site. I've been indoors all day, of course.

Royal Mail specifies if it's a customs charge on the tracking page - I use it to pay a fee before I get the card through, usually. Sounds like it should be fine. Maybe. Hopefully.
