Yeah, theres an old PC one that I can't put a name to, but from memory it was hard to see what the creator of worms had actually done other than take an existing thing and put worms in it.  Maybe that's being unfair but it def wasn't an original thing.  Is that guy a multi billionaire now? I'd assume he gets a royalty from all the millions of worms games made over the years?

It's difficult isn't it. On the one hand you'd like a title like Scorched Earth to get some sort of recognition and the others that preceded it even. But on the other, artillery games are almost a genre in themselves. My take would be that I'd hope the Worms creator would at least take the opportunity to acknowledge and namecheck these older titles, which Worms obviously owes a debt to.

First one for me was Tank Trax on the Speccy, before GORILLA.BAS.

Death Tank Zwei though!

If your mag is damaged you can order a replacement here.

Has this been a widespread problem or something? Mine was in a paper envelope this month instead of the usual plastic wrapping. It was half ripped open but the magazine was in perfect condition (phew).

We've moved over to this new paper to help the environment. I don't know how many people have had issues with damage, I just know where to direct them if they do :)
Personally I'd prefer slightly thicker paper but these decisions are way above my work on the mag.

I'm all for a more environmentally friendly option for delivering the magazines in. But the envelope my magazine arrived in certainly isn't the answer.

Then again, if they value the magazine arriving safely as much as they seem to value the need for good customer service, it makes a bit more sense...

All the research shows that the public want to get rid of plastic envelopes for magazines – they are an absolute disaster for the planet.

Then when a reader gets a wet or torn issue they want the plastic back again. Sod the environment.

The reality is that even if you want your plastic back the industry doesn't want it back – too many complaints from the eco-aware.
