PSVR2 - out now!

At the weekend, Sean Murray tweeted the customary single emoji that he does shortly before a No Man's Sky update, so we can expect the PS VR2 update to hit at launch after all. There had been rumours that it had been delayed. If I'm right, we should get a trailer and the patch notes sometime today or tomorrow. I assume there will be much more to it than PS VR2 support, too. People have been speculating that the snowflake could mean a major update to frost biomes, for example. Anyway, I really hope this is out tomorrow because I can't wait to play NMS in VR again.

Resident Evil Village looks really impressive. I love how you pull open your jacket to take your flash light out, and just object manipulation generally, it’s clear they’ve done a lot of work.

After going from VII on VR1 to RE4 on Quest, I was hoping that they'd really dig down with the gear manipulation - looks like they've gone the extra mile. I'm almost tempted to buy GT7 based on that tweet, but I'll never get to play it properly for ages. Does it have any arcadey modes as I'm not a big racing buff?

I’m not either and yes it’s fully customisable so you can play it exactly how you like, with as many assists as you need. It actually starts the game with a kind of arcade mode set to music, it’s really good fun. In the main game I use automatic gears and some driving assists, once I was comfortable I took the breaking one off, but only after I’d taken tests which are also all part of the main game. Despite its kind of dry, sim look it’s actually very relaxing and easy to play.

Cheers, looks like I might be getting hold of that as well.

Quite a bit of GT7 footage here, initially I thought it looked a little blurry in places but I think that might actually be the foveated rendering because, if you look where you would expect to (e.g. into the corners) it looks clearer

There are a lot of GT7 impressions on ResetEra saying it's not sharp, the lighting isn't as good etc.

This is to be expected: I used to have to turn Project Cars right down to just over minimum to run it at an acceptable framerate on my GTX1080 in VR, whereas in flat screen mode it'd have been fine at high.

I've been able to download some pre-orders from the PS Store, does anyone know how the Rez upgrade fee works? I can't find the upgrade option on the store.

My order is still Preparing To Ship 😕 they're not going to dispatch it until tomorrow are they? Hence the 22-28th delivery estimate 🤬

I expect for a lot of this sort of stuff we'll have to wait for the store to update on launch day

I'm being annoying now but is anyone else running into issues pre-ordering games from PSN right now? I'm trying to get Moss Book II but I keep getting "something went wrong" so I can't add it to the cart.

Mine's shipped - DPD next day, due tomorrow.

Probably won't get a proper go in until weekend, mind.

That's like rolling an unpinned grenade into here 😄 quick everyone hit F5!

Anyone posting that their PSVR2 has been shipped needs to mention the date they preordered and rough location so we can wildly speculate on where our own orders are at based on minimal information.

I’m sure it will ship today and arrive tomorrow, although I share your frustration. If mine doesn’t arrive tomorrow then I probably won’t get to pick it up from the collection point until next Monday as I’m away and working all of the rest of the week, and no one else will be at home.
