Seems a little irresponsible of Strange 🤔

Yeah surely that's got to be misdirection? He seems quite out of character in that trailer. Out of the character we know, at least (waggle eyebrows, wink at camera, etc)

Looks great!

I am wondering how the breaking of the multiverse will be explained though, as it looked like they'd already set that up to happen via other means in the tv shows?

Maybe it'll be something along the lines of stranges spell would have worked except he was not working with the same cosmic source material he thought he was due to all the other goings on having rendered it unstable, or something.

Does feel like it might end up being something of a bottle episode from the perspective of spidey and his people though.

I think it's all just ways into the multiverse, really.

Maybe it’s all the various multiverse shenanigans happening at the same time that breaks it completely (Loki, Dr Strange, Wanda)

I suppose they also have to keep the film and TV universe separate to a degree for the folks that haven’t watched a Loki series etc.

Strange doing that spell in the trailer seemed like an odd thing for him to do, but could just be the way it's edited for the teaser. Likewise I hope it ties into the end of Loki somehow, otherwise that series was a waste of time.

Thought of spidey doing spidey things in a weird shape shifting world with best bad guy back sounds like a lot of fun though.

Also, if we’re going the wishing route, you’d think he’d throw in a “Oh and resurrect my father figure and mentor Tony Stark while you’re at it.”

Or just Uncle Ben at least? (Is he even mentioned in this timeline?)

I feel like, based on the different versions of time travel we’ve already had explained to us that don’t seem entirely consistent with one another, hoping for all the multiverse stuff to make total sense with each other probably isn’t what they’re aiming for. It seems likely that the “multiverse” will mean whatever they need it to for each individual story but won’t necessarily all perfectly align across different stories. We don’t really know how Strange knows what he knows about the different stuff going on, and it’s possible that the events of Loki have changed things about the past that could affect the present so I don’t think they’re feeling pressured to ensure that there’s a consistent single way that time travel or multiversal stuff works.
