so what’s the difference between green goblin and hobgoblin?

They're different people (usually). And the costume is different. Hobgoblin is generally seen as a bit B-list while Green Goblin is usually considered an A-list villain for Spider-Man.

This is the potential problem of things like this. It can potentially make things a little too easy to loophole around previous plots.  Perhaps that is comics in general though.

Even if he ever does come back I guess Multiverse means they can have a completely different Tony character. He could even be a baddie.

Pretty sure they can handle both. I refer you to Infinity War.

True but a lot of the films prior to that were all converging onto that movie. I don’t think there has been anything near that prepping for this especially if they are bringing in characters which haven’t really been part of the universe in its current incarnation. I really hope I’m wrong though as I’ve enjoyed both spidey films with Tom Holland so far.

None in that sort of costume design. The closest being Mayday from MC2 (Peter's daughter from alternative future).

If I had to guess that's just a gender swapped Tom Holland.

Or....... It has done a Silk style origin- what if MJ (or another female classmate) was bitten by the spider instead.

Also- I think I now need to check out of this thread to avoid any more spoilers......

The new trailer for this got me to revisit Homecoming. I was a bit down on it when it came out, but it's grown on me.

The scene in the car might be the best scene in the MCU. Keatons facial reactions as he starts to realise who Peter is. More scenes like this please and less CGI smashy smash.

Keaton is one of the best villains in the series. He has a decent motivation, he's a bastard who has been wronged but genuinely cares about his family, he gets one of the best twist moments in the series and that scene in the car is one of the most genuinely intimidating in the series. He's great, a genuinely good reimagining of the Vulture.
