I know people were generally down on Treme because it wasn’t The Wire, but I loved the theme song, and the soundtrack in general.

Dude! I preferred Treme! It was the living embodiment of an episode of the Cosby Show where one of the Huxtable Jazz Uncles visited and we had to listen to a song - in drama form!

I wouldn’t say I preferred it but I did still really enjoy it as its own thing. Definitely got better after the first season too in my opinion but think some people had given up by that point.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been posted already!

Probably the only opening I don’t skip, it so perfectly conveys what the show is: a bunch of pompous problemless people dashing about the Galaxy lording it over everyone. The grand music, the tone, the camera angles, it’s wonderful.

Ok, so a closing credits sequence. And not for a TV show. But I love the irreverent fun of this, and it's not the usual dull 3D fest for the Marvel movies.

There's some other good, all be it different, ones. From the off there was was Iron Man schematic hardware porn and the really lovely 2.5D "your country needs you" style artwork in Captain America.

Anyway, do we have an end credits thread? I'm sure we do but search is naff.  We should have an end credit thread.

(Police Squad wins)

You can't have a title sequences list without the most famous of all time:

Doctor Who has got to be in here, I chose this series because its probably the most trippy:

Dat funk:

I know Voyager was already on here, but if Next Gen hasn't been on here it is anyway. This is probably the intro sequence that forever tops the list of getting me in the mood for the coming show:

Also surprised this hasn't made the list yet:

The opposite of this is when a TV show has a perfectly suited theme but then either loses the license or can't be bothered sorting it out for streaming. Watching House open with some generic, free music shite instead of Massive Attack came as shock recently on Amazon Video.

Some of my faves:

Ducktales - The new version is better than the old one (There, I said it!)

No it isn’t. It’s not even close to being as good as the original. They mess up the woo hoos. But it is still really good. Because it’s Duck Tales.

Ha - to be fair, I did exactly the same.

If it was shown on HBO, it would be massive. People would be raving about it. How smart it was to be a prequel to treasure island, whilst tackling race, prejudice and wealth.  And it ends brilliantly - unlike some shows....

I keep meaning to start it again. I did watch season 1 again with my wife and she enjoyed it so I put off doing a rewatch on my own to watch it all with her. That was about a year and a half ago, I think.

We're watching a cheesey Netflix documentary about Nasau and the real life pirates there, and it's interesting seeing the overlap with the show and how pirates were actually democratic progressive people. But the dramatic reenactments are awwwful.
