Game Builder Garage

Yeah, sounds like you can share stuff via codes, hopefully you don’t need to also be friends.

Great idea but ideally it’d need a proper in game gallery for uploading and downloading stuff. Imagine Dreams but having to share codes?

Looks a lot like an expanded Toy Con Garage from one of the Labo sets (which was also pretty great!)

Looks great, but apparently you can only share levels with friends.

Ahhh not this shit again.

Nintendo is so flipping backwards this gen and refuse to change course at every turn.

Coming from the amazing social aspects of Wii U I can't help but despair lol

I’m super interested in this as well. Not quite sure why, as I’ve dabbled with multiple programming languages, as well as Unreal Engine’s own blueprint system several years ago. So even though this’ll probably be quite limited, I still think it’ll be cool to nock up some little concept ideas on a portable device.

Similar to Mario Maker I guess, in that I’m also looking forward to engaging the creative side of my brain rather than just the shoot/kill that a lot of the games I’ve played recently. 😄

I feel I saw a couple of diametrically opposed methods of game making this morning with a quick go on this and Ratchet on the PS5.

The latter tried to impress me with ray tracing and 4k graphics and all manner of shinies and booms in the first 10 mins.

This spent the first 10-15m lecturing me about how to connect the B button to the jump action ad infinitum to make a stick person jump against a monochrome backdrop.

It was closer than it would seem for which I enjoyed more.

The presentation in this thing is so damn cute. Pure Nintendo. It tells you each piece of information five times over but maybe that’s just what it needs to do. And it looks like there’s shitloads of depth under the surface.
