Anybody know what time the early access goes live tomorrow?

Can I maybe set my xbox to new Zealand?

I think it’s the same time everywhere but if it isn’t I’m not sure you’d want to be playing on NZ servers from over here.

Damn this is a big map. Would be nice to be in a squad that isnt scattered everywhere.

First impressions are good. Only played a couple games and there are some bugs here and there but nothing game breaking. Looks nice. Felt a solid 60fps on SX.

Not without it's glitches - it wouldn't be BF without them –  but first impressions are very good. It feels like BF4 upgraded, which is absolutely fine by me.

Interesting, as a non-Battlefield player (since 2 really but I played a fair amount of 4) I am massively underwhelmed by the beta so far. I think I'll try some of the non 128 players modes as my first try at that was awful. Mostly AI enemies, a bug where joining a squad mate in a vehicle spawned me outside the vehicle and left in the middle of a runway as it sped off. This despite being told my spawn attempt was a "success". The gunplay just isn't satisfying. There appears to be no destruction of any significance going on. Plenty of dull looking, warehouses to run in to. (This one is probably my lack of understanding) Huge vertical buidlings with many, many layers but no way to clearly and quickly understand if the enemies are below or above you and also if above or below, roughly how far. This is despite them being spotted on the map. Really not impressed so far.

The thing that Battlefield should be great at is feeling like you are in a war, with movement and action all over the place. Right now this is not battlefield in my opinion, but a really poor imitation.

I am fortunate enough to have a PS5 and Series X.  I have gamepass on the series x with EA Play so does that mean I can play this today on the xbox with early access but will need to wait a couple of days to play on the PS5 (I haven't pre-ordered)

I'm downloading the PC beta now. Does anybody know if the beta has cross play enabled?

No idea, but if it is I hope you can turn it off (I know you will be able to in the full release). I'm really not interested in playing against PC players, especially since there's reports that the ant cheat has been circumvented already.

They have already confirmed you can opt in or out of console & PC cross compatibility, the same as CoD.

Yeah, as I said I know it will be in the full release. I just don't know what the status is of cross play on the beta.

Also it's not the same as cod. On Xbox you cannot opt out of cross play for Warzone.

The Battlefield 2042 open beta is crossplay but there is no cross platform multiplayer parties.

DICE confirmed the above in a message to Screenrant. Players will be able to create parties across systems in the full game, but it will not be doable in the beta.

This means that you will not be able to team up with friends across PS4 and Xbox One, or PS5, Series X, and PC. You will come across soldiers on other systems through matchmaking, but it will just not be possible to create a party.

Well, there go my evening plans. Half of my friends are on PC and half on PS5. What a bunch of bullshit.

There are 2 cross play options on the Xbox and one is greyed out. The other says you can manage Cross Play options in your Microsoft account, which is not too encouraging.

It feels like BF4. Not sure if that's the gameplay or the modern setting. I get murdered out of nowhere all the time but that's big maps for you.

Just played 2/3 of a game, Conquest seems to last a long time.

Looks really nice on a XBX maybe a little barren.

Found the map to be VERY large, resulting in a lot of uneventful running. More Hell Let Loose than Battlefield in my opinion.

Oh man, this seems like you need to turn it off at a system level if you don't want to cross play...

Yeah it seems that way. If that's the case and I HAVE to play with PC I'm definitely out. I stopped playing Warzone because of being lazered out of nowhere.
