Releases October 15

7 vast maps for up to 128 players

"From Seoul’s cities to Egypt’s deserts, every map offers a unique experience based on the natural environment.

Customize weapons, gadgets and vehicles in-battle to tip the scales in your favor. Summon a robotic dog built for battle, employ a grappling hook or don your very own wingsuit.

Choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads through the new Specialist system. Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable."

128 people's a lot isn't it? I felt they lost a bit of the magic in exchange for scale when they went 32 > 64 so God knows what this will be like. Still, hopeful for the reveal. C'mon DICE, wow me!

I really never got on with the 64 player. The console versions of 32 seemed optimal to me, but I'm in the minority on that. 128 just sounds too much.

I’m really into more players. For me the scale is what makes BF feel amazing, like you’re just one tiny part of a giant battle. I didn’t really play before 4 though.

It is all about if they can convey the scale. If they can get the sense of scale right, it is great. If it just feels like you're stuck in one part of the map fighting the same ten guys then not so much. Also annoying if it is too busy and constantly getting killed from someone just around the corner. That's what killed Call of Duty Ground War for me.
