It's so hard to get that low and not overcook it. It's a brilliant header, and against a defence that are no slouches.

Throws himself at the ball and scuffs it in off the top of his dome. The run in was good, but when in the same game we've seen a guy expertly cushion the ball with his face, before nudging the ball past a defender with one foot and slamming it in with the other, judging it as goal of the tournament based on the perceived difficulty and skill involved is ludicrous.

In regards to Bale potentially finishing his tenure with the national squad, it's like a reverse Ryan Giggs?

Playing loads throughout, no sicknotes, and leaving early.

 

Except probably not early to jail.

There was a time when retiring from international football in your early thirties wouldn't have been viewed as particularly early. There's an interesting relationship between that and footballers' wages I reckon.

I feel we're heading to a big reveal here for @GamesGamesGames, they mentioned to me in a reply early in the week 'working with the lads' or words to that effect.

 

I'm expecting something like they are the Guardians secret footballer at least.

 

Going to be most disappointed if you are Yianni who wraps their Lambo's in bacofoil or the bloke who covers their phones in electrostatic gold plating and Swarovski crystals.

Here we go, ITV once again asking about 1990 to Gareth. ITV are thick, these guys should be watching 2010's match, not 1990. Those guys in 2010 are the sort of guys England need to hope don't turn up on Tuesday.
