Tempting fate but James to Leeds appears to be done.

Seems a little pricey given our position a few weeks ago, and I'd really have preferred a centre midfielder but Bielsa really likes him and you'd expect him to improve him.

Huw Jenkins not answering his phone three years ago has cost Leeds £29m and netted us £3m via a sell on clause

Cucrella (assuming Favrizio Romano is correct) and Mwepu are our only signings. We signed two others who probably won’t get work permits immediately and need to be loaned out and a third choice goal keeper.

So no one really to score goals which is what we need. Plus we sold/loaned 2 goal scoring prospects and kept the injury prone one and the problematic one.

Transfer window? A great success!

It’s unfortunate - he clearly panics, rather than it being a Maradona-style intentional handball - but I don’t see how this could have gone any other way. That was a goal.

Yeah, there's no other decision there, even before he actively scoops the thing.

Yep outside the top 4 now our attacking line up of Bamford, Harrison, James and Raphinha looks as tasty as anybody's.

Should be absolutley lethal on the counter attack.👍

It's no Antonio, Vlasic, Fornals, Benrahma and Bowen but should make Leeds even more fun to watch.

Top 8 is going to be very interesting this year.

Could still sell him in January i guess, right?

The only way I could see that happening is if PSG somehow manage to crash out of the group stage in the Champions League. From a business point of view they don’t give a shit if he walks for free or they get a free, clearly FFP doesn’t have the teeth to scare them and the Qatar Investment Authority is worth an estimated $300 billion so the “loss” on Mbappe is like you or I telling a shopkeeper not to worry about the penny change when you can’t be arsed to wait for them to dig into the till.  €180m almost a rounding error in their overall budget whereas The Champions League is glory them dine out on for years.

Annoyingly Palace have made a lot of progress on their squad rebuild whilst Brighton have effectively signed 2 usable players and loaned or sold close to 30.

I suspect the goal was to reduce the squad in this window which is hard to sell to the fans. Just hope there’s a plan.

Chelsea have pretty much self funded this window and their conveyor belt of academy players that get moved on for big money is very impressive - of course it's taken Abramovich's billions to get here but they are currently a lot more self sustaining than the likes of City or PSG.

They also seem to be wising up to the buy back clause thing too in an effort to prevent the mistakes of the past, seemingly not wanting to pay up to West Ham to get Rice back into the club (but of course doing just that with Lukaku).
