Took a 4 point hit and brought in Vardy and Sarr for Antonio and Mahrez.  Paid off with 88 points - top of the rllmuk league and top 3k overall!!!

Would be happy if the season finished now.  Downhill from here on out for sure.

Being top of the rllmuk league is stressful as hell. I almost won it twice, in consecutive seasons, and managed to end up finishing second both times. One time I lost the lead in the last day of the season by 1 point. Still gutted about that one.

There are a lot of good managers in here. Good luck staying on top!

I finished second last year...one point behind first.  Honestly, the rllmuk is a nice group to be in but my main aim is winning my two cash mini leagues.  Won $4.5k last year :)

Given that I was the person that beat you by 1 point, I wish I was in your cash leagues. 😂

Are you referring to the so-called "hack" of the Fantasy Premier League site?  It wasn't hacked, turns out that it's just the usual "password reuse" issue - certain individuals who guessed the username and password correctly logged into accounts and deleted the teams.  The organisers put back the teams.

Same advice as always - don't reuse passwords, don't log in via unofficial apps, etc.

I don't think I am? Fantasy Football Hub is an unofficial fpl site I'd not heard of and just assumed hub was a word the official fpl site used for some other thing on social media.

I go on the fpl reddit so saw it there.

The latest from fantasy football hub is

On Saturday evening our website suffered a cyber attack. We’re working with Action Fraud, the police, the ICO, our hosting company and security firms on the issue. We want to be completely transparent with our users and members about what has happened and what we are doing about it.

LATEST UPDATE: 7th October.

Our forensic examination is ongoing; users must assume any non-payment information they provided as part of the sign-up process (pre 4th October 8pm BST 2021) has been compromised.

We want to remind users that no bank details have been compromised as these are handled by payment gateways, PayPal and Stripe.

Ah right, no you're talking about an entirely separate entity.  Fantasy Premier League has never used the word "hub" to describe anything of theirs.

Coincidentally there was a security incident which led to an announcement from Fantasy Premier League on 29th September (a week ago), but that was merely accounts that miscreants had worked out the login to, not an actual hack.

I think the two are connected - either the FFH password DB was compromised, and FF accounts were then compromised due to password re-use between the two sites, or FFH was one of those sites that took your FPL login details to get extra info on your team, and those PWs were leaked.

Jota no show, no Raphina, Dias on bench, didn't captain Salah. Good to have you back FPL

If it makes you feel any better (probably not) I didn't captain Salah the previous three gameweeks losing out on 32 points (excluding my other captain's points which given it was Ronaldo not a lot..). I also didn't play White vs Burnley, who doesn't do that?

My only aim this season is to catch up to Magnus Carlsen and then stay ahead of him. This is his team:

I would try to top the rllmuk league but If the number one person is 2329 in the world...I'm realistic...I've already lost 60 points on bad captain choices, bad wildcard choices (lets stick with 2 leeds attackers for their easy run! I wasn't into Shaw before the season or after 3 games, why leave him in over a Chelsea defender? Because I thought he might cross to the best header of the ball in the world...nope..)

The big question for many Salah and Lukaku owners next week is who to captain...if Lukaku blanks against Norwich..might as well write his seasons off/sell him. Man United's inability to get clean sheets or create is really bad. Salah is the best player in the world currently, and Firmino still links up the attack better.

Magnus has taken a -4 hit to bring in Havertz and Vardy for Traore and Lukaku and is captaining Havertz over Salah. :o I get it...it's Norwich. Also early kick off though. Maybe this is one of those games where the expected team to lose pulls off an amazing performance?

I did a -8  for Chilwell, Saint-Maximin and De Bruyne. Would have been easier to just swap Lukaku for Kane. De Bruyne at 4.1% ownership is a differential and Foden at 5.5% is too. Kane at 6.7% kind of is too though.

I did Lukaku to Kane with my FT, mainly because I didn't have time to think about it - didn't realise it was Friday night football until pretty late. Kane's stats are up, so I think he should start producing.

Vardy is probably the sensible choice, but I've got such a lousy record with him that I thought I'd steer clear. I've already broken Lukaku this year.

Was considering Mount as a cheaper alternative to Havertz, decided against it and just go for Havertz. See the 7-0 score, oh yes, how many did Kai get..... fuck off! This season has been awful in my decision making. Before this week I worked out I'd be 68 points better off it I never touched my team after GW1, and would still have my wildcard too

lol

Chelsea getting 7 goals but Havertz getting no assists or goals is the most fpl thing ever. I saw Omizzay also did what Magnus did...

My -8 went well...De Bruyne didn't even play! I can't find out why. edit: posted while city game still on. de bruyne best managed.

I had Foden as vice captain...watch Salah blank now despite Man United conceding regularly. Mane brace. Actually I think Firmino usually does well against United. I...think....

What a crazy weekend! Highs and lows.

Salah is an absolute machine. I almost bet against him as captain, thinking Ole might shut up shop for a 0-0.

Gutted to get nowt from Chelsea's 7-0 demolition thanks to Azpi's benching.

However, was chuffed having Foden.

Disappointed to have Liveramento 2nd on the bench and Dias 1st, who came on for Azpi.

I hope Omizzay doesn't mind me taking pleasure in him dropping from the top. I mean...this sounds targetted. this sounds so small minded, i don't even, this is what fpl does to you. I mean, just every time i looked, Omizzay at the top, Omizzay Omizzay Omizzay, your inbuilt pessimism starts to swirl around and you think that person is holding that spot forever. you weren't even in second spot what is this. it's the only way to climb up, hoping others make mistakes. i took silly amounts of pleasure with the havertz captain choice. i'm sorry.

from 53 points earlier today to finishing on 111, i actually dropped in rank. antonio i think. I'm just trying different players. that's what people do don't they? They try different players and if they blank for 3 games they resent them forever.

I feel like if I post in here too much I'm going to give the impression I'm desperate to win this mini league. I'm not at all. I won't lie, if I won I'd come in here and gloat and be completely insufferable for no reason at all. But no I just wanted to say 'playing Smith Rowe AWAY AGAINST FUCKING LIVERPOOL over Saint Maximin AT HOME TO FUCKING BRENTFORD is why I will never win this mini league', although if I do it must have only meant everyone else is making worst decisions. I looked at my team many times! Oh Foden has had a knock has he, he can still come on and score in 30 minutes, oh 4 at the back are you sure hmm. Smith Rowe is sat there the whole time.

I'd rather not own a player than miss points on the bench. I suffered his nothing showings for...nothing. The one time my choice proved right and I didn't gain the 8 points. 8 points I've threw away on hits anyway in 2 weeks but it's not the point.

But really, I've not played fpl for ten years and I really don't think it's that hard to to get near the top. It was obvious that Cancelo after last season would get assists, I didn't buy him because I'm an idiot. And obvious Chelsea would rely on fullbacks because they have all season, it was just who to buy when they've got 5. There's some luck to reach the top obviously but a lot of the time people make decisions based on hope that you know deep down is flimsy. If a player is always injured or not got going yet...yeah maybe wait. Especially if he plays for Spurs. Mane is sat right there, right fucking there! fuck me. no I'm enjoying it.

I’m pleasantly surprised by how well my team (Bush FC) has been doing these past few gameweeks, especially given that it feels pretty template now.

Just made a couple of early transfers though which I fear may backfire. Have been better at waiting till just before the deadline to make changes this season but I was going to be priced out of the changes if I didn’t do them early. Still resisting Kane and Son for now but surely they must come good soon right?

I went early on Transfers (already took a 4 point hit) and now Chilwell is crocked. So took another 4 point hit to swap him out. Went for James but toyed with getting Alonso back in which means he'll score a couple this weekend and James will get sent off.

Horrible week. Brought in Kane and their match gets cancelled then my double City clean sheet gets wiped out with the last kick of the game. All of which happened whilst I’m stuck in bed with flu so not in the cheeriest of moods right now!

Somehow managed to cling onto second place but around 15pts down on where I could have been if the FPL gods hadn’t turned against me. I suspect I’m not the only one who had a bad Sunday though.
