Alright, got it reserved. I'll expect it sometime next year :ph34r:

If you got stuck at the 'initiating/updating', I turned off the thing that saves your account details after a purchase, and that pushed me through to buy it. Purely ancedotal, mind.

EDIT: Also, yeah, don't attempt to zerg the payment process, or Steam Payments locks you out. Got caught by that one Christmas Eve while buying presents for friends.

They haven't took the money and no order confirmation. So not sure whats happening.

Same for me, thought I was midway through the nth try to pay, and my banking app popped the payment notification

After how difficult getting a PS5 or Series X turned out to be I'm not surprised people are trying to secure their place in the queue for one of these. Theres very little downside to getting on the waiting list at least.

I now have "Your purchase may have been completed, but there was a problem checking on the status of this transaction. Please check your account status page or email for a confirmation receipt".

 

There is no email, but on the account page it's showing as "pending purchase".

They should have done it with a GAME style preorder - will take all the money now. Commits the buyer more.
