What model? No mail for me but I ordered 512

256Gb. Ordered 18:10 on the day. Went Q1 to Q2 with the two-month delay, so must have been early Feb originally.

No luck today. :(

Moving on, it's time to start getting my hopes up for next week. That's bound to end well.

Had the email earlier and made payment.

What time was your order placed if you don't mind me asking?

Man, I know it's been seven months, but I've been giving myself a headache considering what sort of stupid bullshit I can play on the Deck first. I guess something light and a small file size while it downloads everything else. Well, it's either that or load PSO: Blue Burst for the umpteenth time.

I'm considering making a list of not-so-expensive indie games that are still only on the PC platform and testing out support on the deck for them, as a recommended guide of sorts. At the very least, it will give me an excuse to shill The Coin Game as it's a brilliant, janky little game with a lot of heart put into it.

Hot little FYI, to boot: Lutris' development team have started implementing ways to support the Steam Deck in their latest revision, although actual installation is still being ironed out (namely, making a flatpak version), it still includes some neat new features including:

- a wizard-like interface to add new games in a user-friendly manner, including raw installing Windows games via their setup.exe file

- add games in Lutris to the SteamOS library, meaning they can take advantage of Steam Input options

- Integration of Ubisoft Connect and EA Origin accounts (in addition to the existing Steam, GOG and Epic integrations -Humble's being looked into after the new store broke off from Linux)

In all, a lot to mess around with next week. Very exciting!

I'll get the email on Monday right? Right?

No.

Spoiler

You might get it Thursday, they're upping the amount of notifications they're sending out.

But yeah, check a calculator for a rough date and cross your fingers otherwise!

As for the games being played, I'm thinking:

- The Witness (I've been playing it on my current Linux box)

- Space Funeral (I just found out it's on Itch.io, it's a fairly short game and it's something I've been meaning to play since I started PC gaming as it's a weird old hoot)

- Path of Exile (because of course I would, and it has pad support and I'd like to provide GGG feedback on it)

- Omori or Everhood (I'd like to start one of them soon-ish after Tunic)

possibly Shin Megami Tensei V via Yuzu, if I can transfer over my save and it works alright

- ...well, PSO: Blue Burst.

I forgot all about this, just had my email and paid. Only went for the pauper 64gb model, can you add storage?

I haven’t given this a thought in months so I’m totally out of the loop

You can add micro SD cards cheaply and easily

So I preordered mine about an hour after those getting their emails. Getting hopeful for the next week or so.

It seems to depend a lot on the version you have ordered. I was within the first 2 mins (18:01) of preording a 512 and was in the last batch of March emails. It's now on it's way but been sat with Parcel Force "Your parcel has been sorted at our hub and is on its way to our delivery depot." since Friday, it's already taken longer there than it did to move from the Netherlands 😟
