No thread for the Championship for this season yet.

Steve Cooper looks to be leaving the Jacks.

Fulham and West Brom looking to do some more yo yoing.

Can Sheff Utd bounce back. Can Bournemouth after being the only relegated team not to go back up?

Lots of other teams who might do well or might be shit. It's the Championship so who knows.

Glad Cooper has gone, the football under him was shite and boring. Ive no desire to ever return to the EPL, so i will take nice football and a mid table finish every season.

And the stress/excitement of will one team do the double in the South Wales derby.

While I'd like Cov to use the return to the former Ricoh to be a catalyst for improvement, to be honest if you offered me the same relative comfort of 16th I'd shake your hand right now. Just looking at the various odds and it looks like bookies aren't even entertaining bets on Derby to go down, ouch.

Fulham are back, baby!

Our home kit is awful but I'm quite excited about the Marco Silva reign. All I care about is that I get to go to games and have a laugh with my brother/mates and watch some halfway decent football, so I'm hoping that's what happens. Silva's got a bit of a sketchy reputation but he worked wonders with Hull, did a good job at Watford until he didn't and then went to Everton where everyone's rubbish. We've got one of the better Championship squads but after the last two glory seasons in the Premier League I'm genuinely not fussed about going up.

So I'm saying the same thing I say every year before we're looking like we can get playoffs. I want football to be something I go to and enjoy rather than something I'm obsessed with winning in. I want to love it when we're good and have a laugh when we're shit, and hopefully that's what happens!

Up in smoke?

I don't see anything other than a complete implosion for us this season. Hope I'm wrong!

It's looking likely but you never know what will happen in the next few weeks. I'm eternally optimistic about Derby even when there's very little reason to be!

Yeah I'll add my own photo from The Cottage, brilliantly framed to show an empty still in construction Riverside stand. Just absolutely wonderful to be back in a full stadium watching football, seeing Harry Wilson score on his debut and singing about Neil Warnock being a wanker. I don't feel great about how insane it is opening football stadiums up with no restrictions but on the other side of the coin yesterday was genuinely brilliant. I'd sort of fallen out of love with football over the last year and a half. And yesterday I realised that was because football isn't about watching Man Utd vs Liverpool on a telly, it's about being there and having a singsong and seeing my Brother and my Dad and his mates in the pub before the game.

Right, time to do a quick Covid Test and then start work!IMG_2891.thumb.jpeg.f876916b4941a988fc10cdeabee93423.jpeg

Fulham is the game I'm looking forward to most this season. Somehow we've skilfully avoided facing each other in the league for 50 years now, what a novelty it'll be! (I'm focusing on the novelty aspect rather than getting any points out of it)

I don't have a photo, and I share the concern about reopening stadiums without restrictions, but it was nice to be back watching Cardif on Saturday.

Ground was only half full (if that as they count season ticket holders regardless), but as we sit (stand) in the area that is almost 100% season ticket holders then it felt completly 'back to normal' as bar one of my mates, everyone who sits in front, behind and to the sides of us since we moved from Ninian Park were all there - soe of the teenagers appearing to have aged 10 years in the 17 months we'd been away.

There was a sobering two minute silence as pictures of fans who had died flashed up on the screen, a lot of Peter Whittingham chants and the majority of fans got to enjoy mocking the Barnsley fans about the events at Wembley last month.

On the pitch, it was a pretty poor game and it was pointed out in the last 11 competitive games (Saturday and 10 before March lockdown 2020) in front of fans in Cardiff - we've drawn 8 of them (9 if you count an FA Cup game which we then lost on penalties) so it really did feel like back to normal.

The weirdest moment was Kieffer Moore coming on the pitch as sub as it was the first time anyone had seen him in a Cardiff shirt.

League Cup on Tuesday should be a bit more spaced out as I can't see more than a few thousand attending.

Because we got the joy of beating Forest in the 96th minute of the first game, when we got a penalty in the 93rd minute while 1-0 down at Barnsley there was never the tiniest chance it was going in. Sounds like we played well enough to deserve more which hopefully bodes well for away at Blackpool tomorrow.

Can't say I'm looking forward to Saturday - Milwall at home in August with a 3pm kick off may not be the best idea given numerous other clubs fans having scuffles in the last couple of weeks so if our idiots and there idiots are feeling nostlagic it could be trouble.

Plus Rowett taking shit about taking the knee this week as well.

And the club has still not sent out season tickets so everyone had to go digital for the first game meaning ridiculous queues to get in despite the ground being half full and same again for this game (and the next one).

A 39 year old Phil Jagielka inspired our first clean sheet in 6 months last night - we'll need many more of those as we sure as hell aren't scoring many! We could easily be on 7 points right now which is crazy considering many bookmakers weren't even accepting bets on our relegation. If we can somehow not get more injuries then there's a fairly decent chance we might just be ok.

I forgot how much I missed all of this, even during the worryingly long time Forest were winning. What a day

Think we are sat in the same block, mate. I'm towards the top of block 16. Photo looks like either 15 or 16?

Went to Blackpool away last Tuesday, was an amazing day out.

I'm 17, but I think I'm basically three seats in from 16. Almost in line with the goal line, better idea in this one which I'm definitely using as an excuse to post about the 98th(!) minute winner

What a game

I'd heard they still hadn't handed over the accounts required by the last ruling. If they'd maybe done it on time the penalty may not have been as severe (possibly). I still think that there's a chance Rooney can pull off a miracle and keep them up because of the odds so massively stacked against them every game is a free hit and as log as they play to the best of their capabilities, no one will be calling for his head.

Not sure which way the derby will go today. Hughton appears to be more the manager under pressure at the moment.
