@cassidy Fancy spoilering that character reveal for those who don’t know?

Done

Edit: and sorry got caught up in Halo and have you seen Black Widow. She explicitly states who she is going after btw. It wasn't going to happen in any other series tbh.

Ok maybe it could have been in MODOK

You're obsessing, you know that right?

Quite but if someone replies, I can reply too. But I know I'm not the only person who found it weird, I heard it on some podcasts too. Just thought it was an odd way to go. They've put so much heart and emotion in exploring things in other parts of the show, it would have be nice to have just seen how someone who's new to all this feel some remorse. It's just a side of the MCU that never gets touched upon. I think only Spider-man has cared enough to make sure he doesn't kill (unless it's Aliens of course).

Still been great show though.

Anyway, other spoilery theorycrafting stuff (only cuz I've read that other ppl had the same reaction as me):

Spoiler

The watch, and hawkeyes wife seemingly knowing some spycrafty stuff. Apparently some people think that the watch might be linked to her, and she is an ex spy. I dunno about that, I thought the two things might be seperate and unrelated, but I agree she did seem to be hinted at having either professional history or at least has picked up a lot from being married to an ex-shield avenger who is best mates with the worlds top spy.

Anyway, wondered if any of this has precedence in the comics? I thought she was just a very capable support character, but could see her turning out to be someone important in their own right.

Regarding the spoiler...

Spoiler

I had no idea Pugh was going to show up. When the masked character appeared on the rooftop and started throwing stingers it clicked pretty quickly, but even then I wasn't expecting a face reveal. It was a nice surprise, and I even said "Holy shit" out loud.

I've seen Black Widow, but I don't follow any social media. I'm glad I wasn't expecting it.

I was 50/50 on it either being

Spoiler

her or some other anonymous widow from the movies that they rescued, and that is an aspect I'm still unsure about. IIRC they were left in Pughs care (under her leadership maybe), so if she has been turned by hydra then does that go for the rest of them, and does barton have the whole bunch after him?

Could be setting her up as...

Spoiler

Mockingbird.

Long history with Hawkeye in the comics (married, divorced, team members) but the character was also in the Agents of Shield TV show played by Adrianne Palicki and wasn't Clint's wife.
