Brrr. As utterly ridiculous as I know this film will be, something about those shots of the moon spinning past Earth really unnerves me. I think it's mild megalophobia, I got the same feeling from the shots of the rogue planet in Melancholia and any video like this:

I actually get the same thing whenever you can see a harvest moon moving in relation to something on the horizon. Shits me right up!

Don't ever watch Sarah and Duck. The shit they do with planets will scar you for life.

What's with trailers having little sneak previews of the trailer now? usually about 5-10 seconds of fast cutting shots. It's like;

'Hey guys, look, the trailer starts of a bit slow but hang in there, there is some cool shit coming up. We promise!'

I'd wager it's for social media platforms and mobile browsing where autoplay while scrolling is a thing. Quick snap of imagery to coax the recipient into clicking.

It's to try and get people to watch past YouTube's 5 second "Skip Ad" function.

Looks alright for an Asylum movie.

Oh...

I'm looking forward to the inevitable Asylum version of this, probably called Mooncrash, which will have their trademark CGI tacked onto a story about a dad and his daughter trying to get back with his wife, both literally and romantically. Oh yes and one of both of them are scientists who have been worried about the moon for years but no-one would listen.

If you want a bad movie, I keep seeing this and thinking of MoonTrap

Um wow, this is a movie I saw. I wasn't expecting much but it may be a contender for the worst film ever made. I laughed out loud at least ten times so it was worth the trip to see it with an audience. Remarkable really.

Spoiler

FUCK THE MOON

It's like a conspiracy theorists dream, the script is complete nonsense and then it doubles down hard for the final third. Also it seems one of the main oddball characters is some British kid from Coronation Street.

Recommended.

Edit- I haven't seen Game of Thrones. He's in that.
