Fretnoise Posted October 14, 2022 Share Posted October 14, 2022 Enjoying this one a lot more than the Suzuka one, even though the track limits at the chicane seem to change lap-by-lap - I think you just need some part of the one tyre on the rumble strip, but it seems very tempting / easy to cut the final curb too much. That last corner is nuts, my best sector is .5 quicker than the next best and thats all on the last corner - I hit it that time so perfect and was on the power so much earlier and I dont really know why!! It was on a poor lap so I dont even have a vid to look at it 🤣 I’m edging towards the gold time so pleased with that - hopefully get a few more goes on it this time around. How much time are peeps putting into this? Need to work out the chicane properly and the next long right. On my best lap I did a massive power slide round it and somehow caught it on the way out, and I’m sure it’s not the fastest way so I reckon a 13 is there. Try and keep everything tight and minimise it. You can absolutely get well into the 13’s I’m sure. The only corner you really can afford to get lairy is the entry of the right hander after the chicane but by mid corner you need to have it collected up. Watch the top guy - he does that and it works. Having said that imo he’s far too lairy in places - in the chicane and the right hander before the straight up to the chicane he could be faster. I lose out in the first two corners but then catch up a teeny, teeny bit. He’s mega at the end of the lap. This TT is similar to Maggiore in that you can rag it and get a time but to really get a time you need to minimise the wheel spin in most places. The first half I’ve really got nailed now. Out of the chicane and I’m barely 3 tenths down. I lose 5 more though in the last 2 corners. A 12 might just be possible by the end if I can work it out but so far I’m stumped.
