NO. FUCKING. WAY. Fred with a back flick goal!

Also the lack of enthusiasm from the commentators for any goal is actually hilarious. That was an absolute beauty

Garnacho is no bigger than him, though.

Yeah he just seems stronger, though. He’s been outmuscled in every challenge so far. And Garnacho is 3 years younger and already looks sturdier.

We're the only team still on for the domestic treble. It does mean we play four times to Newcastle's one in the run up to the league cup final though.

'Top foreign manager gets caught out by underestimating the demands of fixture pileup during debut PL season' does feel like quite a common tale. Hopefully we get rotation for the second leg.

Eriksen is injured, isn't he? He left the last match on crutches as a result of that challenge by Andy Carroll that went inexplicably unpunished.  I'd quite like to see Mainoo or Iqbal get a chance there against Forest. We know what Fred brings to the position, and it's obvious that's not anything like Eriksen, so I'd like to see if one of our young ballplaying midfielders could step up.

By the way, did you guys know that on top of all his other qualities, Casemiro is also really good at Counter Strike?

There's videos always going around of Souness slating Casemiro, admittedly before he arrived, so people think he's less racist (as with the Pogba obsession) and more hates man united, I like the idea of a player in his 30s who has played one role for ages but now has more freedom to show more so his age doesn't mean anything, it's like he's had a career reset and he looks as happy as a player can look.

Ten Hag is so serious, when itv were showing him that clip of him as a kid throwing strong opinions at Cruyff I guess they expected him to show a different side to himself, he...didn't really. More than anything he seems so honest, great temperament and focus. I can't imagine him deflecting blame, highlighting referee decisions or throwing a player under, there's no petulance there at all, no being over emotional, every answer is always 'we need to do this and this'.

I like that he's so keen to win a trophy, whatever the rotation I just assume United will win. According to Wikipedia which I'm gonna take as accurate, Ten Hag's win percentage is an incredibly high 71.9%, small amount of games I know but if we can expect to improve, get more signings will that drop significantly really. Ole finished on 54%, Mourinho 58%, at Spurs he was on 51%, at Roma is on 53%, his second stint at Chelsea was 58%. Inter Milan 62%, first stint at Chelsea 67%. Just Porto and Madrid he was on 71%. Klopp at Liverpool is on 60%. Arteta 58%.

It doesn’t really matter, it's meaningless but it does at least indicate that he's set a standard and expectation that I'd expect the team to continue with this momentum.

Just me who finds that an odd chant, a waste of money referring to his transfer a decade ago for what now seems a modest amount given the inflation of prices, to a club which ...United weren't playing against. Carroll joined Reading for ...free? Where he's apparently on just £1000 a week? United fans mentioning waste of money don't really have a position. Man or a woman because he has long hair he ties back when playing football?
