Don't worry about playing them right now, just sign in and collect them each month. I've been doing this since the start and I don't think I've played a single one yet. There's also free in-game loot for various games, e.g. codes to give some bumf in Genshin Impact. You can ignore all that if it's just the games you're after. It involves linking the various game accounts (Xbox, EA, etc.) to Amazon if you want them, typically.

Yeah I had a few already, but a good number still to add. Now up to 352 DRM-free games. That is staggering. 

 

I take it the 'big ticket' items are later? Shame they will be Origin.

There is a warning on the Amazon redemption page to "make sure you link the right EA account". This is because it is possible to accidentally have more than one, and to register all of the games to the wrong one. Ask me how I know.

It's messed up at the moment. Mine is claimed on the right account, shows in my collection via the website, but not in the desktop app. (The EA Origin based games - ME, Grid, NFS)

I have a good idea about how that happened myself - I had about three separate EA accounts because of their online agreements registering different email accounts depending on the console I used.

 

I had to chat with an EA online service person to unfuck it and register my primary account to the same one as my Microsoft shit is linked to (so the game pass benefits worked correctly).

Yeah @Siri I think that's exactly what happened to me. I had to chat with support people from both Microsoft and EA to get it sorted out (because of the link to my Xbox/Gamepass account, as you say.)

 

Easy enough to resolve, to be fair - they were pretty helpful. But it's good to be aware of.

Not just you. I can see those games in the old Origin app, but not in the new EA Desktop app. (You can have both apps installed, you just can't be signed into them at the same time.)

 

I imagine it'll get sorted out.

Nice, thanks. I haven't bothered with EA games on Gamepass because, at the time, you couldn't even start Origin (I have a few Steam games that require it) without stopping a fucking EA Desktop service. Looks like I'm trying again.
