Personally, I think the score given for Psy 2 is a little on the harsh side. I'm not really familiar and trustworthy of these reviewers. I've got the game on order anyway so i'll make my own opinion. Onimusha 3 looks very promising from this though...

Not from experience, I meant harsh as in it's pretty dire from what I was expecting Famitsu to possibly award it.

i never played it. i had a lend of a ps2 for about 2 months. in that time i bought tekken tag, onimusha, granturismo, devil may cry, 1x memory card. then they took the ps2 back. so i have 4 games and no ps2

the sequel was Naomi-based iirc, hence the DC conversion.

Since when? I know the review scores are shaky, but they tend to get the big news stories exclusively all the time (hence scans always showing up online) and important interviews, so they're hardly at the same level as CVG.

Then again, we all know most of you believe Edge to be the only good games magazine in the world!

Is Psyvaria 2 much different?

I mean, its not the greatest shooter is it? I don't play it much, but since i'm nearly 31, i guess my hardcore days are over.

Its not 'that' great.

Theres far better shooters on mame. I'll not scoff at the price though, so its worth it on them grounds.

But its a somewhat bland shoooter. Its buzz mode is cool, but its arguable more about dodging then shooting.

And it has crap explosions.

well its a bit of variety, isn't it. same style of game, done a bit differently. of course there are even better games on mame, but it has got a ridiculous amount to choose from
