Reminds me of one of your 90s ones.

That's the point. It's supposed to homage the 93 Bukta one, but that seems silly as that kit was a travesty too.

Thank god it's our last year with Umbro.

Boring, or just crap ?

Yeah it's awful.

I really like United's kits this season, home strip based on the 60s kit I think and away the 92 (ish) one.  Really nice, sponsor aside.

Always hated centralised club badges

I think it works on this year's Galway United kit.

The detailing isn't as noticeable in the actual jersey so it does look very good in the flesh.

Man City’s away is a madness (guessing it’s a nod to the Hacienda)

Obviously it goes beyond football as a part of the city's history but this is still kind of amusing since Peter Hook and Bernard Sumner both support Man Utd, as did Tony Wilson. Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert support Macclesfield. I'm sure there must've been a City fan involved somewhere though.

Not the first time they’ve had a nod to the club either. Best connection I can find with the club and the club is Rob Gretton, manager of Joy Division and New Order and a founding partner of the Hacienda, was a blue.

Maybe Everton will release a third kit celebrating the Cavern Club.

Yeah that's nice actually.  Looks like a Pumas or Club America shirt

Marketing people don't give a shit about stuff like that.  They just want Hacienda = cool bit of Mancunian history ∴ branding!

True. This page has probably thought more about the kit than they did.

Having a PS5 as part of the sponsor was an odd choice.

Maroon shorts, apparently.

I wonder if the ref insisted on that because of the colour clash with Villa’s shorts? The photo is at Villa Park, that’s the Trinity Road stand in the background.

New home and GK kits. The sponsor both overlapping the tramlines and being a gambling company is the only thing I don't like, so the kids version will be amazing

Another photo showing the inspiration for the pattern on the sleeve and the stripes and the inspiration for the kit as a whole for some context.
