I think this looks great (surprise surprise) Those bite sized arcade style , gotta go fast stages combined with the downtime of a huge overworked with stuff to do (and always fun, giant ramps to grind) seems like the perfect mix to me.

Also Big the cat fishing game I mean come on now 🤣 better than Forces already

Forces was an utter abomination though. I was a fan of Colours, and I even found a lot to like in Lost World, and seeing as it's the same director (who also did Forces, but nvmd that one eh), here's hoping it might be a return to form. But this would mean that it's all on schedule with the whole Sonic cycle of course.

Sonic one had combat. Unless you never got past act 3 of green hill zone as a conscientious objector.

The combat should have been made kind of similar, ie run and dodge and get the odd jump in. Everyone politely hovering in mid air to allow sonic to sonic boom repeatedly is a bit odd.

it looks like a good game to me. Just not really a sonic game. Like some kind of fan mod.

Loads of new footage here. Seems to be locked 60fps now, pop in still a but shit but positive impressions. "Combat is fun, exploration is exciting, and the story is exciting"

What we all really want though is the lo-fi chill Big the Cat Fishing Footage !

Contrast with the banging choonz of the Cyberspace gameplay
