I know! I thought the correct answer first, then thought, no, they wouldn't do that, despite a year of them doing exactly that.

I've stopped playing this myself, but a friend of mine pointed me to a version they made, which I thought might be of interest here.

It's called Confusle and the twist is that after each guess, when it shows you which letters are correct/in the word/not in the word, one of the pieces of info is incorrect.

 

It makes sense when you try it.

My first spot for a candidate on guess 6 was 'stade', an obsolete unit of measurement; but as it was the last go I double-checked for other options and spotted the right answer. So then it was just down to second-guessing WWWD?
