Just want to say I decided not to get up for the live showing today, and put it on for the 9.30 replay instead, to be greeted with MAX VERSTAPPEN WORLD CHAMPION across the bottom of the screen. They didn’t show the replay until about 2 hours later, and didn’t bother updating the programme guide. Seething.

Now you see technically :blah: this would be incorrect. Prost’s spin into the grass that day was in the rather lazily ‘that’ll do’ developed 642, which the 643 was rushed out to succeed from France onwards when it became clear to Ferrari that a tepidly reheated version of the 1990 car just wasn’t going to cut it :sherlock:

The 643 is possibly my favourite F1 car in terms of looks and sound. It’s a pretty evocative piece of machinery, especially when paired with Alesi’s helmet and a shower of sparks.

Unfortunately that's also the year he ran with #28

I feel your pain.

All the way thought the replay I was waiting for a Perez to banzi Charlie off the road so Max would get the big win. Then when he gets a win handed to him in the drivers interview after the race is added insult to injury. I didn't even need to watch the race at all.

Bloody sky and bloody F1

Did the same thing man. If the championship hadn't been a complete formality anyway I'd have been fuming too. Just to be extra annoying NOW TV didn't upload the thing to on demand all day (they might have done later in the evening, I stopped checking). They even uploaded the post-race show, Ted's Notebook and the highlights show before the actual race.

Hmm, I wonder if that car is owned by the Schumachers and is being sold off to help pay his treatment fees 😕

Wasn’t he more or less a billionaire? Unless his family are living significantly outside their means, I wouldn’t have expected his treatment to cause his financial reserves to run down no matter what they’re doing for him.

Doesn't seem to be which is a relief, Provenance "Estate of the artist David McKee Gallery, New York Acquired from the above by the present owner in 2007".

I didn't realise that there's a display of some of his cars in Cologne and according to the app the F2003-GA on display is chassis number is 227.

For some reason despite it's looks and success I seem to remember being disappointed with the F2003-GA*, now if it was a F2004 I would bid but I'll pass on this.

*Refreshes memory of F2002 results, I guess anything would be a disappointment after that.

Yeah, blatantly now the championship is won they will invoke "suspension from a stage in the championship" at one of Austin/Mexico/Brazil/Abu Dhabi that really makes no difference at all to anything.

It's a mess though - because if it's not a significant punishment you can bet every other team will look and try to work out if the risk is worth the reward moving forward....certainly will have been for Red Bull.

Horner calling for Merc to 'retract their dafamatory statements' now looks like [even more of] a prize twunt.

Am I imagining it, or was the Mercedes fast enough in a straight line when it was porpoising at the start of the season?

Did they fix that and add drag at the same time?

It was slow in pre season testing and everyone thought it was sandbagging - I did see an article the other day that said Mercedes identified the issue very early on but unable to resolve it this season due to development budget - maybe some Redbull lasagne on the books and it would have been competitive this season…

Same hear, I was going to get up for the race as I usually do but waited for the 9:30 re run to see a golden banner with ‘2 championships’ and Sky talking to whinger spice - I thought they had wrapped up the constructors as switched it over quickly and managed to miss the first start when I finally got to see the rerun as the NOWTV EPG never updated to reflect what was being shown.
