Game ending repository

Let me explain, I am currently playing Silent Hill - I know this game has multiple endings, however I am generally only ever inclinded to play a game through the once. But if I do finish it, I feel I'm entitled to see all the endings... but currently I have no way of doing this.

Another example could be the fact the some people can't do Halo on Legendary (or can't be bothered to) and want to know what the ending looks like, or a whole host of other games that might add something on the end for collecting all the xxxx's

Now, if there's a site that already has all these, then yay - and link-me-up please. If not let's do one, I have some freebie webspace from NTL, and while I don't have enough space for loads of movies, I can put some up there, with links to others.

What do you think - worth it, stupid idea ? And I suppose I should ask if there are lots people with the facility to actually record the ending of a game into an .avi or whatever

I think the site is good, but it doesn't feature the current generation of consoles.

Mind you, Id love to see the end of some of the cinemware games- I could do IT Came from the desert but not Rocket Ranger

Defender of the crown was pathetically easy though

Edit- it has hardly any game endings on there either

Damn my works blocker.

Great idea though.

<Geek>I used to tape the endings of games me and my boys I played years ago. There's still a tape floating around with us finishing 'Super Mario Kart' on 150CC.</Geek>

I taped the ending of Zelda Oot, and made my wife watch it - she wasn't particularly impressed though.

Want to tape the Halo Legendary finish Hitcher. As you TV is a Tosh, you'll probably find that AV2 can act as an "out", so you can plug this into a VCR and tape it, I can get it uploaded from there

Any volunteers out there to gather the current console game endings, I can't be bothered waiting for that site to catch up. ?

EDIT: Actually, much simpler than that, you can just plug your Xbox into the VCR can't you ;)

I have always been puzzled about this fascination with multiple game endings. I have no interest in playing through a game more than once, so a collection of alternative endings is about as much use to me as a paper spade. Perhaps some game developers should concentrate on improving the quality of the other 99 per cent of their game before they start thinking about wasting time and resources on something that many gamers will never see.

Someone tape all the story in Dark Chronicle so I don't ahve to play 50 hours to see it all. then I can move onto another game.

So you intend to sit there for 50 hours watching the story unfold like one big cut scene. I recommend MGS2 for this... or perhaps you'd watch it on on visual search so it only took 10 hours

I'm a div.

:(

Yes, I don't really want to know what I have to do differently to get to the alternate endings either, but if I finish it once, I think I deserve to see the other endings (rightly or wrongly)

This whole things stemmed from the Silent Hill topic, after you guys were talking about the "UFO ending" and "The Dog" ending, and IIRC the UFO could only be done on a 2nd play through anyway.

Enjoying it loads BTW, fantastic fun with the puzzles, I have to keep notepad open on my PC to write down some of the clue/riddles so I can work things out. Just finished in the hospital and have just saved at the Antique shop right now.

The original idea is a good one I think. I'd never replay a game for a different ending (excepting MGS 1, which I did just that) but at the same time it annoys me that there may be 6 or 7 others on the disc that I'll never see.

Halo is excused because it's common sense that Legendary should give a little more than Heroic but Silent Hill 2 (for example) has so many minor things that can affect the outcome that I'd have to spend months eeking them out.

And I won't.

Yes, there's two distinct categories here, the multiple endings a la Silent Hill. Then the completist's or extra difficulty stuff.

While I would gladly play Halo on Legendary (which I actually haven't had the time to yet BTW :( ), I'm buggered if I'm going to pick up all those blue coins in Mario Sunshine get get the 18 shines I'm missing. I don't even know if there is a "better" ending for getting all the shines.

Is there a "dark side" ending in KOTOR BTW, I finished in Angelic-like good status, but haven' got another 40 hours free to play it through as a baddie, and interested to see what the alternate ending is (if there is one)

Still suffereing from a lack of volunteers BTW... feel free to shout if you can supply any goodies

It is quite puzzlicious isn't it. Be interested to hear how you get on with the Zodiac and Piano puzzles, that's if you haven't already read the spoilers in my Silent Hill thread from a few weeks back.
