In my experience the Luck upgrade influences it. Haven't played as much since the 1.0 drop, so it might have been tweaked.

Luck definitely increases the chances of a rare chest still.

 

The Dairy I actually found harder than most of the later levels, in fact they nerfed it in a recent patch but it sounds like it's still hard!

 

I'm happy to see more people get to try this out thanks to Gamepass, its a perfect example of how a lo-fi game stripped to its bare essentials can be better fun and more addictive than a bunch of recent AAA blockbusters.

Since I started putting points into Luck it feels like I'm getting more food and cash drops. It's so great when you're almost dead and you spot a chicken on the other side of the screen and you're slaughtering your way across to get it, you get to it just in time and you turn the table on the horde.

The gun guy gets pretty crazy when you merge his two guns. I had the AOE, duplicator and cooldown boosts and he was melting the whole screen. Combine with evolved bibles and Santa water and your laughing.

 

On the other hand the cats seem pretty rubbish.

Got another bug. Whenever I unlock new ones. Only have the same 2 cards.  I think I should be getting a choice of 4. But it's only ever one.

I think Garlic is very good early on but when you have your stats built up and are going for the Dairy Plant and Tower drop it out. The evolved Santa Water is like having 10 Garlics moving around covering the whole screen. You hit a point where Garlic just can't keep up at the end of runs.

Bah, game has broken for me. A level has disappeared and a couple of character unlocks as well. The game says I have unlocked them but they no longer appear on the select screen and meeting the requirements again doesn't work (as the game already counts them as unlocked).

 

Hopefully a decent patch in the works and it's still addictive regardless!

I did have Santa Water on level 7 or 8 I think, that was mighty impressive too.

 

At the moment I'm mainly using Gennaro and then trying to focus on knives, whip, garlic, santa water and bible then adding on any other item. Works well I feel as a mix of close, medium and long range attack.

I was having a great run on Dairy with the panda (or whatever it’s supposed to be) Yatta Cavallo - the maxed cherry bombs it chucks out are just nuts, they cream everything.

 

The game did me a dirty though, I got to something like 29.25 and the screen suddenly became a solid mass of golems, you couldn’t see anything else - after using my revives I lasted to 29.35! :lol:

I dread watching the counter tick to every 5 minutes, started prepping/clearing an area before the ring/boss appears. Someone said to just tignore the jewels as bigger ones pop up later but if its too busy and you can't get to them you can miss loads. I've started doing mii side rounds for things like bats to get loads of them then just start wondering down as stronger enemies come along. Swirve and girve 🤣
