The DF review.

criticisms: tutorial heavy in the first dozen or so hours, but otherwise perhaps the best entry in the series to date - improved in very way, visually, technically (improved image quality, still some frame rate issues). Amazing music and full 5.1 sound.

I’m so glad John Linneman has highlighted the way movement in the earlier games feels crappy due to the way the characters’ feet glide across the surface of the ground when walking or running. Good to hear this in no longer the case in XC3.

Yeah, but have been out in the morning and seen a slight incline covered in fairly long wet grass and just fucking ran at it full pelt and slid for a billion miles? Nothing lame about that, my friend.

pre-order paranoia post 1/1,000,000

Curry’s is the cheapest with a code (XENO15) £38.24 but it’s showing delivery date of 2nd august for some reason.

Is that usual for Curry’s? Are they likely to bring it forward?

Ooh, hyped for this now! Don't really want to read reviews apart from skimming cos of spoilers, but is the story supposed to be good? I loved Xenoblade 1's story but was a bit meh on Xeno 2's. From what I've read though at least the gameplay sounds great, the story has a darker tone which I'm all for, the visuals are good and the character designs much better than the embarassment of the last game. Presumably the music won't disappoint either!

I went with shopto which is £39.45, they’re generally pretty good at getting it delivered by the release date.

Utterly beyond excited now thanks to the reviews. I’d say 1&2 sit alongside Dragon Quest 11 as my favourite JRPG’s of the modern age. Even though with 2 the combat system took me about 3 YouTube tutorials to fully master. This is going to be a glorious weekend’s gaming.

Although thanks Amazon so glad I preordered months ago for you to now bother delivering on Saturday. I think I’ll have to go digital then. Does anywhere actually sell physical games any more? Like would an Argos have this? The Game near where I live shut down forever a go. And ideally I;d want to buy this physically to complete the set.

I just ordered from Shopto, not ordered a physical game in a while and they usually get it out for launch day. Not sure when I will have time to play it though, but at least the portability will help a bit. (no card tat left though)

Looks like you timed that well; they're now sold out!

I preordered from them after Nintendo announced the inability to order the Collector's Edition; hoping to get a shipment notification from them this evening or early tomorrow! I've nowhere to be this weekend, so hoping to gorge on sci-fi world exploration for a couple of days ^_^

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is an emotionally-charged masterpiece, a heartfelt epic that delivers the goods and easily overcomes any of its minor shortcomings with an incredible narrative and some of the best combat we've ever had the pleasure of digging into.

Anyone who fancies working themselves into a lather because they haven’t yet preordered, or perhaps just get even more excited whilst waiting for the game to arrive , watch/read this. Obviously be mindful of spoilers if you want to go into the game knowing nothing, but any spoilers are very minor, just laying out the story and very early game stuff - all footage is from the first few hours apparently.

Argos will have it - but they're charging full 49.99 whereas Amazon have it for 44.99.

I’m sure you’ve all been panicking but don’t worry, it’s been dispatched.

I strongly suspect it will be in the trading folder by the middle of next week.
