My first 6 in ages, and surprisingly straightforward after I lucked out with my starter, and then there were enough shared letters between words to really help.

Spoiler

I guessed STORY for my second guess, which was super-helpful, because once I got the SW I knew the placement of the two Ys in the SE. And then that containing the letter that gave away the NW was just ideal.

Another 3,4,5,6 - this one was wonderfully lucky.

 

Spoiler

Started with my usual, then because I had the TH in both the right and wrong places I thought I'd have a go with them at the start, so went with thong, which got me the start in NW, so I took a punt and got it. That got me the extra letter I needed NE to make it obvious and also made SW interesting because I had the G in the wrong place but knew there was no E to allow a GE ending. So it had to be something odd. Then that got me the 3rd vowel in the SE. Sweet!

Although I had eliminated loads of letters, it was still satisfying to get NW with so little to go on. 
 

Could have shaved off a turn if I got lucky on the 50/50 4th guess in SE, but a satisfying run overall.
