At this point I might as well admit to myself that I'm totally in for this game. I thought I was done with Street Fighter...but all it took was that trailer, the character roster artwork, and Blanka. And I'm intrigued.

But I've definitely decided not to go buy an arcade stick this time around. Realistically I'll bounce off SF6 soon enough, so it would be a waste of money. So! I'm going to go and play this with a controller. Something I've not done since... 2 Turbo on the Snes! Always played with a stick ever since. Going to be interesting.

Is there any information on how charge characters will do modern versions of their of specials?

For example could Guile just do forward+special to get a sonic boom because if he can walk forward and throw a sonic boom they changes his dynamic quite dramatically.

Best of both worlds:

Somebody mentioned scruffy Ken:

Spoiler

From Reddit:

Quote

From what i read from the guy who leaked SF6 to begin with:

* Ken wanted to pursue the same dream as Ryu.

* Eliza got tired of him and left Ken and took Mel.

* The dogtags you see Ken wearing is actually Mel's.

* Laura and Sean make cameos as they're trying to bring Ken back, they also explain whats going on to the player.

* Luke tries to help Ken regain his fighting spirit. Many characters call Ken "washed up" in winquotes.

EDIT: Forgot to add that he now struggles to do the fiery Shoryureppa.....yikes.

I doubt the "fighting game community" at large will give a shit, but I was actually quite encouraged to see Chun Li didn't appear to be depicted with oversized breasts and exaggerated boob physics this time.

While this would obviously be amazing, they could actually legit do this with Dan and it would still be the best thing ever.

They did confirm Arcade Mode already so at least it won't be 2 year (!) wait for that.

I hope it has a replay mode where you can set filer criteria (favourite players, characters. Skill level, matchups etc) and it'll just continue to play matches until you interrupt. SSFIV had this to an extent but you basically had to manually save and play each replay in SFV (though you could go through them frame by frame, which was nice).

Being able to step into a replay by taking control of either character at any point would be great, with them with them either sticking to the same inputs (to test counters to option selects etc) or the CPU taking over for a wee scenario battle.

From what I've seen Chun-Li's SF6 design has been pretty well received:

Instead, complaints that a marginally less sexualised costume means that Capcom is "caving to the woke dipshits" have been reserved for a different female character in the leaked roster:

They're just updating her model to reflect our current era, because jesus christ the booty.

I'm traditionally all for the sexy stuff but I have to say that I like Cammy's "street" costume in that concept art. I'm sure the standard leotard will be there, probably as horrendously expensive DLC but still...

I wish they'd also offer her Final Fight Streetwise outfit as an alt. They did well by including Cammy's Cannon Spike costume in SFV, so maybe there's hope.

Akuma looks like a real monster now.

Hopefully thicc Mika will return. Who am I kidding? Everybody and everything will be back in DLC packs as has already been mentioned further above.
