Seems like there are massively more trades than usual this year, almost like a football transfer window.

This year's draft is relatively weak from what I've heard. Plus teams are looking at the Rams who bought a bunch of proven veteran players to win games now rather than drafting players that may or may not workout and waiting years.

that's an expensive deal, woah.

It sure is, hope it goes well.

The draft for QB’sis incredibly weak this year but it’s the complete opposite for WR’s, which I guess is why so many times are willing to trade their best but also very over-paid receivers.

La'el Collins, Blake Jarwin, Connor Williams, Cedrick Wilson and Greg Zuerlein are gone too. Don't much care about Zuerlein given his performance last season, but all the changes add up. Going to be quite a different team next season I think, with some big holes to fill.

Yep. I posted previously that I think the Cowboys missed their opportunity. I hope I'm wrong.

I just think the team they had, and that stayed mostly fit, should have gone all the way to the Super bowl.

It's a fine balancing act. That Atlanta team that should have won the Superbowl was packed with young talent and looked like being a top team for years to come, but fell apart quite quickly for a variety of reasons with Ryan and Jones on huge deals soaking up salary cap. Now look at the state of things, I think now only two or three guys from that team are still there.

OK, I'm not very up on the draft this year yet. WRs are great players but without a qb are essentially useless, unless teams do what SF do with Deebo and use him as an RB. Which has risks injury wise too.

Well KC have the best QB so i expect they will be able to find a couple of WR’s in the draft that will be good enough to keep them at the same level, while poor Tyreke Hill will now have the useless Tua throwing him passes in the general direction of him. I mean I know Hill is quick but he will need to be The Flash to catch some of Tua’s attempts at passing.

It's a little late, but after Bruce Arians retired as head coach from Tampa, good job done by him. However, Byron Leftwich not being made his successor is a joke, he apparently did 100% of the offensive coach work, and it was very good work.

The def was good too but they don't wanna risk losing Byron

Do you believe there is anything to the speculation that Brady would only come back if Arians was no longer the head coach?

It's certainly possible, it seems like a Brady move. I thought they were working well together but they had a big bust up iirc but that's not uncommon amongst teams.

Arians was probably happy to retire again and Brady was probably happy to unretire if Bruce left.

If you didn't hate Antonio Brown enough anyway. He decided to attack Colin Kaeperinick for no reason at all on a podcast for not being black enough for him.

If we ignore NFL players who raped and murdered someone. Is there anyone more hateable than Antonio Brown ? He seems like the biggest dickhead I've ever seen.

It's no surprise he references himself in the first person through out. Fucking scumbag.

It seems that Deshaun Watson is a predatory scum bag who cultivated a great guy image.

Will he see the field at all this season? Also the way the Brown's have structured his deal so that even if he does get suspended it will only cost him 1 million dollars is disgusting.

Giving a player that has, at that time, 22 cases against him the best deal in NFL history is beyond a joke. But then the US has elected 2 presidents in a row that have serious sexual allegations against them.

In a just world the only field he sees this year is the prison exercise yard, but since he somehow escaped a criminal charge he'll catch a short suspension and play, I reckon. I expect there'll be some payoffs and the NFL will give him a 6 game suspension and then pretend nothing happened after that.

And to think the reason Watson wanted out of Texas was because he felt the organization lied to him. Lying to him was justification for breaking his contract yet loot at what he was doing behind closed doors.

It would seem the only thing that would possibly stop a top NFL player from being signed is if the people in charge thought the player would cost them money. Beat kids, women or even dogs and no one bats any eye. Threaten their money, ala Colin Kaepernick, and you will never see an NFL field again.

Not going to London games this year. Instead me and my Jags supporting best mate are off to DC for the Jags @ Washington opener.

Excited and terrified in equal measure.

Let's hope this doesn't happen to you:

I know right. I think I said I. The other thread it’s a shame it’s the DC shitbowl instead of the Bank (you’d bet I’d get my far more charming mate to try and blah us in to those pools) but have to take these opportunities as they arise.
