They should take away the FUCKING TIME LIMIT.

What should have been a very relaxing game becomes a STUPIDLY TENSE GAME. Miyamoto is an idiot if he EVER thought that was a good idea.

I agree.

I played it with a Datel Cheat thingy giving infinite days (but still normal day limits) and it was a LOT better.

I think Pikmin 1 was finished in a hurry when bigger projects (Mario) fell behind.

I liked the time limit. Gave a real sense of urgency. Encouraged you to get on with it.

That and it made sence to the story too. I mean, you crash on some alien planet, you can't exactly breave the poison air. So...yeah, it gave a state of feeling "oh no please don't die" mood.

I felt meserable the first time I didn't reach the 25 pieces in 30day limit. :(

Yeah, but think about it.

Miyamoto came up with the idea when he was in his garden, right? It was meant to be a relaxing sort of game, but the time limit made it really stressful. I got really worried about not getting enough in a day and in the end I just got fed up with being so stressed. It's the complete opposite of what it was trying to be - and the funny thing is, very few people recognise it. Still, there's the Nintendo sychophants for you.

The problem with the time limit was that it was virtually impossible to scout ahead and plan your solution and get it done on the same day. It meant you had to rush and couldn't plan ahead too much... or just get it wrong and keep trying, wasting valuable time in the process.

Infinite days sounds nice, though, and stops the levels being too easy and the game being too hard.

Cool!

You, sir, are exactly correct.
