I don't think it matters specifically who the celebrity is, it's just the idea any A-lister would date that guy in the first place, plus his own vanity preventing him from realising the situation was ridiculous.

Yeah, this.

I assumed it was someone in the marvel world, didn't know she was a real celebrity, didn't affect it for me.

I just assumed it was a deep-cut tease for a future episode the same way I had no idea who Charlize Theron’s character was at the end of Dr Strange. Both felt equally underwhelming but I knew people on the internet would be going crazy for them, just turns out this one is a real person.

Just found Orphan Black on All4. Have a lot of catching up to do, we'd only seen Maslany in Perry Mason before this.

I genuinely saw her characters a different people. I didn't even like the 'main character'. Amazing performances.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I wonder if

Spoiler

the moment where the light gets knocked over as She-Hulk carries her date off the couch and off-screen was a reference to the visual effects term "bumping the lamp"?

Obviously the techniques used to achieve interaction between real lights and animated characters have changed a little since the days of Roger Rabbit. And she went off-screen almost instantly after it happened.

But when it happened, I reacted like Captain America understanding that reference.8-)

Stupid bloody Marvel show.

I'm a man of simple tastes, and they know exactly that a scene where

Spoiler

Wong is about to sit down to The Sopranos while pretending to smoke a cigar is precisely the kind of little joy that might just break my critical faculties forever.

Yes please though I'd also just like to see them goggle box style watching TV shows and chatting.

I was actually thinking 'The Mystic and Mundane Adventures of Madisynn and Wongers' may be better.

Honestly that cavalier attitude to spoiling such legendary twist TV show moments is the most egregious thing in the show so far. The audacity of it. The disrespect.

I genuinely bought the boxset a few months ago to watch when I finally get some time off.

Come to think of it, they could have worked it into some sort of content warning at the start of the show. Considering they break the fourth wall all the time anyway I'm now disappointed they didn't. Would have been an opportunity for another gag.
